Re: Specify Forum

Am I posting in the wrong forum?

I NEVER get responses in this forum, not sure if because no one knows the answer or if it is because five minutes after you post something it's already on the second page? But please help with this post if you know the answer. Thank you very much.

Specify Forum

Anyone know right off hand how to specify a forum in the php?

I'm wanting to show ads for specific forums.. say f=5 etc...

What I want is something like IF (This FORUM) Show this ad, IF THIS Forum show this ad, then if not defined. just show THIS ad... I'm sure this is possible... Anyone?

Displaying a Banner * Forum Specific

How would you go about Displaying a Banner ad for a specific Forum.

Let's say for instance I would like to display a banner at the top of a Sub-forum under a parent category.

In the .tpl how would I specify {if *THIS SPECIFIC FORUM} then display *THIS BANNER??

Re: Bots not Indexing

Karl,

I reviewed all of my forums and every one of them has Bots listed in the groups with their permissions set to Bot Access... This should be enabling Indexing correct?

Re: Bots not Indexing

Have you properly configured the forum permissions for the bots usergroup so they can spider the forums and topics I saw this solution under another post and thought that I had a graps of what it meant but I'll admit I'm probably faulty on this. So, go into Each Individual forum... Add Group - Bot?...

Social Bookmarking - Each Post

Is there a way to add Social Bookmarking (such as the addthis.com widget) to Each Post, say at the bottom of the post? I've seen this done on one forum but couldn't remember where and I think it would be a great benefit.

Bots not Indexing

I'm getting bombarded by Yahoo, Alexa and Google on almost an hourly basis but I'm not getting ANY of my forum indexed at all and I cannot figure out why. Are they seeing SID? I'm not exactly sure what is going on but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Style

I'd like to get my phpbb 3.0 to match my front page, any stylist out there that can do this? I also need my coppermine to match it as well. http://www.pet-pedia.com/index.html (This is the front page). Anyone able to do these and can I get a price check? PM me with quotes, not in this post. Thanks.

Just wanted to give a shout out, I performed this mod and just wanted to say it worked flawlessly. Thank you very much for the detailed installation guide, I was able to install this while cooking dinner and helping my daughter with her homework all at the same time, it was that easy. (Actual instal...

Re: NEW TOPICS ADDED - No matter what

No, the new post indictor is staying lit even though I have literally looked at every signle post in the forum. And when I say forum, I mean I have reviewed EVERY post in the ENTIRE forum. I don't know what would cause this. I remember seeing a post about this before but I never noticed it happening...

My forums are showing I new topics since I last visited no matter if I have already looked at them etc. Any clues on how to fix this.

Modifying the Banner/Link

I run my forum of the subdomain (forums.mydomainislistedhere.com) and I'd like for the logo in the header to click back to http://www.mydomainislistedhere.com . I'm not savvy with Forum software and was hoping someone could give me a quick idea on how to edied this.

Thanks,

Eric
