Re: Simnple Question re Groups

Thank you for your reply, is it within the UCP that they can join the group?

I'm guessing it has to be an open group for them to join?

Simnple Question re Groups

Hi,

Is it possible for a user to attach themselves to more than one group?

In this case as well as being part of the Registered User group, can the same user join 'Special Group' themselves (without having to ask Administrator) whilst still being part of Registered Users?

Many thanks,

Simon

Remove just the time from last post

Hi,

Is there any way in which you can remove just the time from the last post column on the main index leaving just the date of last post?

.headerbar issue

Hi, I thought i would be able to handle this issue but after an hour i'm confused as to what's going wrong.. I have created a logo in which the background colour is identical to the colour #ECD5D8. This is the same colour thats used to show the forum rules (like the one above) Obviously a pinky colo...

Adding {****} to emails

Hi, A quick question regarding the generic system emails. Looking at the plain text emails in the language files, there's reference to numerous tags such as {USERNAME} etc. My question is, is it possible to create my own tag and write the text within the common.php file (or wherever {USERNAME} text ...

Re: accept terms for forums and subforums

migael, I am currently in the process of putting together such a MOD for phpBB. I am ensuring that the registration page contains a tick box which will require a user to tick before being allowed to enter the forum as a registered user. If you have any other ideas please feel free to post below! Simon

Re: Language arrays called in HTML

I'm struggling to understand though how the HTML script knows to call the language file. Surely the HTML would just print {L_X}?!

Apologies for the 'dumbness' that I may be presenting!

Language arrays called in HTML

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could detail how phpbb calls the language array in the common.php script from within an html page without using php include_once to call the file from within the html script?

Hope this makes sense! :D

Re: Understanding phpbb

Thank you for the reply Brf but what i'm hoping to do is read the files within the phpbb download package. Surely there must be a sequence with regards to how the pages were put together?

Understanding phpbb

Hello, I'm just getting stuck into the language of php and i'm wanting to write a MOD to help in understanding the language. Of course in phpbb there are set functions, constants etc etc relating to the forum program. I have tried looking at the phpbb files but it's rather confusing as there isn't a...

Adding reasons

Hello, I have allowed my forum to accept Guest posts but they have to go through the Moderators in order to be approved. When it comes to disallowing a post / topic you are only given a number of options discribing why the post can't be approved. My question therefore is to ask whether there is anyw...

Re: Links page

Hi, Brilliant MOD, just what the forum needed. I have one issue though. I installed the link MOD - no problems, and have since installed the FAQ MOD to help add the links. It seems though that the FAQ MOD will not allow me to update the link MOD. I keep getting this message (in the green coloured in...
