You should not be putting /myhome_dir in the script path then. Only put in whatever is in the URL.
It does not work, when I whipe it out. The system says it cannot find the scripts.

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

And another observation: a forum installed directly from phpbb package and with the same database does not have this strange behaviour.

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

I type http://localhost/~my_user/forum_dir/index.php
with forum_dir beeing subdirectory of public_html

If this where wrong I see no forum at all.

I expect this has something to do with MultiView option. The problem arises after login. I don't know why phpbb needs this MultiView in .htaccess file.

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

Hi, I use LAMP on Suse Linux. Now I changed #AllowOverride FileInfo AuthConfig Limit Indexes # changed to AllowOverride All in the apache mod_userdir configuration file. MultiViews don't cause errors now, everything is allowed, but still the forum is in non-graphical mode ! Is this only a question o...

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

I use apache as a web server. I am obviously not allowed to use Options in the .htaccess file. I don't know why this error is appearing. I think my apache config files are ok: <Directory /home/*/public_html> AllowOverride FileInfo AuthConfig Limit Indexes Options MultiViews Indexes SymLinksIfOwnerMa...

I have no XAMPP on my home PC, but on the production server - well, it's possible. How could I check it quickly ?

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

mod_negotiation.c is activated on the production server and on the home PC as well, but on the PC the following error appears in apache log:

Code: Select all

.htaccess: Options not allowed here
, which was the cause, why I commented the Option line out.

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

Please excuse me. I changes something more, which I considered to be trivial. I addjusted .htaccess file, the section: # Apache content negotation tries to interpret non-existent paths as files if # MultiViews is enabled. This will however cause issues with paths containg # dots, e.g. for the cron ta...

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

I see, this is the current SuSe Linux.
Oh, well, I have both Linuxes on on my home PC and on the production server.
And the browser does not matter, with chromium is the same.

Re: nongraphical viewtopic after host change

Well, I try to use my head, but you probably mean the phpbb software version. This is the current one - 3.3.0, but I remember, I had similar problems with former versions too. Oh, the browser is the firefox.

nongraphical viewtopic after host change

Hi, I'd like to test new software on my home computer before installing it on the production server. I copied the database, all files, deleted cache/* and adjusted script_path to /~my_user/myhome_dir/my_new_forum_dir Well, the forum is starting, but after login it issues trigger_error(INSECURE_REDIR...

Re: Getting phpbb_root_path in core.modify_posting_parameters event

OK, I put all error and log messages in ext/evot/move/language/*/info_acp_move.php . What does it mean "picked up automatically" ? I never used variable $lang and I deleted it now. Do you mean I should not make $user global, but rather inject it from the event structure ? Another question ...

Re: Getting phpbb_root_path in core.modify_posting_parameters event

Yes, thank you. The solution for my former question was to load my ext language file not only for button handling, but for logfile reading in ACP too ! I did it with additional event service at the very beginning function getSubscribedEvents() { return array( 'core.user_setup' => 'load_language_on_s...

Re: Getting phpbb_root_path in core.modify_posting_parameters event

Hi, Mr.Goldy, could you explain it more exact, please ? What is $additional_data ? What are specific columns ? Is there an exact $phpbb_log->add() function usage description written somewhere ? My log string 'EMOVE_LOG_NIP_MOVED' won't be find. It appears as such in the moderators log with a %1s par...

Re: Getting phpbb_root_path in core.modify_posting_parameters event

By the way: do you provide a more exact description how to change add_log() into $phpbb_log->add('mod', ... ? The first form will deprecate soon. The best place for the new usage is somewhere in phpbb/log/log_interface.php code. Especially I'd like to know how to insert %n parameters into the log st...
