To close this out, the problems have been fixed. I told the poster to log in with his second username, Use the link at the bottom to clear all board cookies. I changed his password and told him to then use that password to log in. Success. He is able to log in. I then used the mod by RNcGirr83 and m...

I have reactivated his account and can log in successfully. I forgot about the link at the bottom of the forum page for deleting cookies. :oops: I always do that from another program. I'll email him and ask him to attempt to log in again and see what happens. (after he's deleted his cookies) Thanks ...

The account is listed as inactive. What happened is one day, for an unknown reason, he couldn't log in. He was getting an error for wrong password. I asked him to reset it, which he did, but still got the same message. I reset his password for him, then sent him an email with the password. He still ...

It appears you have given that username a "Yes" permission directly, not via a usergroup.
That's a username. I haven't given anyone direct permissions. Only group.

Click the small circle with an arrow pointing right, which is to the left of the permission description, and it will do a full trace of where that permission came from. Ok, between your images and the docs, Plus just plain looking around, I finally found where you are. Looking thru the forums, it shows that the user still has posting privilages. I can Not figure out why. Everything is set to Read Only. Nothing in the docs tells me how to reset the users permissions...
