AJAX and phpBB3

Hello, Currently I have taken it upon myself to build an ACP mod that allows me and other administrators of my web site to modify a menu that is displayed on the front page of my web site. At the moment the only way to change entries is to use phpMyAdmin and edit the database fields, which I am not ...

Hrm, I was able to make Table bbcode <table><tr><td></td></tr></table> with each tag being it's own BBcode tag, and it was working. I did notice that if you tried putting them on seperate lines it would insert <br> tags inside, causing it to not work. (in the bbcode editor)

Well I personally just love it. The ACP is just beautiful, feature rich and easy to use. While I do admit some aspects are confusing at first (but mostly because of the fact that phpBB2 did it one way, while phpBB3 does it another. Just a matter of time to get used to a different way of thinking) I'...

@will_hough haven't installed yet @SHS Well I know that, but I am just asking if the rest of it should work, but fail at the requirement test of the install. I litterally get nothing when I navigate to phpBB3. I dont mean to be difficult, I just would like to make sure that nothing else is wrong wit...

phpBB3 Beta Install page blank?

Hey everyone, I already know my php version is unsupported, (4.2.3) But after reading the quick start guide, it sounds like it should work but just fail at the requirements check. However, when I navigate to the forum, it redirects to the install page but it is blank ( I tried in FireFox & Inter...

How would this perform on 2.0.18? I know there were some large changes from 2.017 to 2.0.18 so before I do anything I'd like to make sure it wont break anything. (It's hard to read 21 pages of posts, so I apologize if this has been asked/answered already) This is exactly what I need though. Lately I...

URL BBCODE issue, can this be done?

This isn't really a request, unless something is already in the works or been done. Basically a few users on my forums want to make some guides for various things. What people usually do for guides is make a new thread, make several spam posts to "reserve" space, then they edit the first p...

I don't quite remember why I started, but for one reason or another I decided to start using phpBB. After following the instructions I had a nice clean install of phpBB and that was fine for a while. Then I heard about phpBBFM, and thought it was so cool, but I felt after a while it was bloated and ...

One of the things I am tired of are those self-righteous groups. Like mavav and similar groups. I'm fine with them making laws and whatnot for young kids, but there is no reason why they should disrupt the lifestyle of adults. Not to mention I still firmly believe this should be left to parental jud...

Well that's what I like about it, I don't need to backup searching, so that will save so much time making the backups, and if I ever do need to restore, that will be fast as well. Then I can just rebuild it and be on my way. Which tables will that mod affect though? both of the ones I mentioned? or ...

phpBB Table Structure & backup question

Hey everyone, Recently I've heard people saying that when you backup your phpBB database, you don't need to worry about the phpbb_search_wordmatch and phpbb_search_wordlist tables. Considering that one of those (can't remember right now) is about 20MBs, it takes a while to back up and restore so I'd...

It was actually very skeptical of FF. I guess you could say I was blindly following Microsoft, but as soon as I got it, I thought wow. I mean FF has so many great features, my favorite being extensions. I looked at screens for IE 7, and they seem to be taking some of the basic ideas from FF and addi...

Oh well, considering the problems I suppose it wasn't a bad idea to make a new post about this.

Especially since I've been noticing people talk about similar problems. Who knows maybe they have it installe too.
