Re: [HELP] Forum update failed with 500 Internal Server Erro

should i just try using the full package? that way maybe there won't be an issue since there are no files to check? any mods or template changes i can re-install/redo later. Yes, if you have no mods or you're willing to re-do any mods you may have then use the file replacement method. If you need i...

Re: [HELP] Forum update failed with 500 Internal Server Erro

Ignore that, please. I was mistaken. Please look at your server/error logs and post the last few lines here, preferably using tags. [quote="soumik"]Sorry, not the case as it seems. Your update failed before it got to the file upload part. Can you check the server logs and post the error(s) you see ...

Rename the .htaccess file at http://mariosworld.org/forum/.htaccess to a.htaccess and see if it helps. The .htaccess file was introduced in v3.0.7 and was not present in v3.0.5. Some hosts (probably yours too) do not allow Order/Allow/Deny directives in .htaccess files and this causes a 500 error. ...

Re: registration password complexity message very vague.

ok. at least that's a way around it. because whatever i change will be shown for ALL the options. (so still not the "perfect" solution, but that's ok, because i can customize the one i want to use.

thanks,

Re: phpbb v3.x.x forum database backup using phpmyadmin.

What you show under SQL is correct. Under Structure, just check Add DROP TABLE and Enclose Table and Field names with backquotes. Under Data, just select Complete Inserts and Use hexadecimal for BLOB. Under Type, select Insert (as you have) ok, thanks. so just to finalize, the correct settings are:...

phpbb v3.x.x forum database backup using phpmyadmin.

Would it be possible for a team member to confirm if these are all the settings required to fully backup a forum database for phpbb v3.x.x using phpmyadmin ? (And by fully I mean that the entire database should be backed up and not just some things. That means every post ever made.) Otherwise explai...

Links Opening New Windows KB article.

i just finished making these changes, and at the end it says: The change will not affect existing posts, you must edit them so they can be reprocessed. Seems that existing links do work - they open in a new window/tab. Well they do for me. Maybe that note was for an older version, and should perhaps...

Re: a new user has registered emails no longer coming

because i did get emails before when it was set as user activated. That would have required a MOD, standard phpBB3 doesn't do that. ahh, must have been a blunder on my behalf, perhaps i did use a mod on my 3.0.0 then... must have... but i remember making a post (mainly for my benefit) just for such...
