Yes, I have a phpBB-made backup. And phpMyAdmin. But where IN the backup can I modify the db info.

Never mind, problem solved. Apparently, phpbb_categories did not restore properly. I dropped the table and executed that part of the script again, and it worked. Thanks for everything!

OK, the db restored without error. I wonder why phpBB 2.0.6 wouldn't include the escapes before each apostrophe.

Anyway, now I have a new problem. None of my forums are showing up. None. I go into Forum Admin, and there's nothing there, not even a category.

Ugh. Slow access times. Anyway, I dumped the existing db and it looks like the slashes - or escapes, as I suppose they're called - are there in front of each apostrophe. I will let you know if the db restores completely and without error.

Both forums (new and old) are phpBB 2.0.6. I am trying a phpMyAdmin backup now.
