Possible md5 brute force password checking hack ?

Hello, I'm no programmer, I'm admin of a phpbb3 fdorum and if some of my users report this I think I have the duty to report this right ? Not that I want to cause any stir, or kick in open doors. SO if this issue is already known you can delete this topic, but appearently it's possible to get passwo...

Re: Question about reducing forum length...

oh, god.... i didn't get my head around that sorry, thx for the adive, ofcoruse i wasn't quite savvy of the idea yet that you can just make another parent forum and then declare previous forums with that parent...... too much flexibility :PP it's the same with permissions but i'm getting the hang of...

Question about reducing forum length...

Our support forum is getting a bit long, there's all kinds of beta test subforums that make it huge. Yes i know, i can delete them or remove all permissions but somehow that's a bit verbose if you want those boards to remain there for history purposes right ? Isn't there a simple option that makes t...

Re: [RELEASE] N.Design (v3.0.0+)

got another question, I played around a bit with the font sizes and mostly i got it right so the board is a bit more readable on higher resolutions, but there's this size that remains too small. it's where the legend of group colors are displayed, it remains incredibly small . Which section in the s...

Re: [RELEASE] N.Design (v3.0.0+)

To explain my problem further on bakground colors in posts.

You know in typical boards where you have a page of say 10 messages, and every message's bg color is in alternate colors, one light, the other dark, the other light again.. (like here.. actually)

Re: [RELEASE] N.Design (v3.0.0+)

ok i guess i solved the permission problem, which was just a stupid mistake of mine, (setting permissions helped), The problem with this, is that it seems that people could set smilies by default but the option was set to NO in the permissions. so this is more of phpbb issue than a theme issue right...

Re: [RELEASE] N.Design (v3.0.0+)

I'm using this for our forum, but there are several annoying problems with it, SOme users report that their use smiles permissions are always off while they always have it on in their prefferences, (and in the old theme, like subsilver2 this works correctly) SOme people's signature images are more t...

Re: RC7 cookie issues

i manage a board, upgraded to rc7 as well and I've got the same problem. I deleted board cookies, my settings arn't different from rc5 and everyone just gets kicked out: which is very annoying.

moderator group cant stick/unstick

my moderators say they can't stick/unstick a post... where do I have to see this permission for the group ?

I don't see a permission that says 'can use post type" or something like this... am I overlooking something ?

thx

Re: Occupied email problem for admin...

nope, only one.

but I already found it in phpmyadmin :) it was some account i created to test normal user rights in the previous version:

I guess that's why the end step of the conversion couldn't log me in because I used that same email ?

Occupied email problem for admin...

Hello, When I had converted our board I chose the same nick for me to be a new administrator (and another password). Upon the last step when I had to login the admin of the newly converted board, I got a messages saying: "unable to convert your password to the new format" (i think something like tha...

Re: many phpbb3 crashes

hmm, i should stop speculating and wait untill I can see logs for myself and show stuff here so it would be a bit more concrete. Ofcourse ther has to be one hacker that is against you and knows one little error to exploit, which doesn't happen on those other forums that work well... I'll have to wai...

Re: many phpbb3 crashes

I hope it's just not some kind of security hole. I've seen many phpbb3's around and none seemed to have this. I even ran it for 3 months on my personal server and no problem....
