I think it might come from the fact those extensions weren't properly installed to start with ? I had weird tabs that gave sql errors in the AP before upgrade. This install was 10 years ol...
I think it was a false flag ? I found a topic from 2017 that said that. Tested deleting store/install_config.php and the install folder and my boards are back. everything looks fine so far. just gonna have to do my theme again.
