Guys, I have never used the sql database for anything like this before, but this works pretty well!. By using some of the suggestions here i can actually call up and display a list of user names with the email address shown beside the user name. In the ideal world, i was hoping for a more user frien...

Re: how to display forum data on different website

Thank you Lie, i appreciate your help! :D

It seems that i can display info from other forums on a different website. I just put the info i am looking for in an iframe and i must allow third party cookies in my browser. Its not a perfect solution, but it works!

Re: how to display forum data on different website

It's easy : Just put a dynamic file on AAAA (for example : http://www.AAAAA.com/transfer.php) which contains datas you want to share, then read it from BBBB. Interesting!....... But could i, for instance, display forum data like "Latest Post", "Number of Posts", etc from a website like phpbb.com on...

Re: [BETA] News Forum

Thank you Erik,
So should we start PM'ing other people in this message to try to get a copy of the mod or will we wait for you to come up with something?

Re: [BETA] News Forum

Kate, Thats the spirit, i will be your "Heavy" if you need to intimidate some geeks  Just tell them you have a big Irish bloke to back you up. Look Kate, the last month or so, nobody get any response from the mod develloper, "Erik". I sent him a PM and he never replied. Having read "ALL" of thi...

Re: [BETA] News Forum

Is it silly to ask phpbb if they could retrieve it from their backups? I posted some of the original code that Erik posted. If you want the mod that badly, try PM'ing some of the people in this message that replied to the message and got the mod. Surely one of them will reply if you ask nicely! If ...

Re: [BETA] News Forum

I don't have the mod, I never got it. What i have is taken from another message posted by Erik. This Mod started in another message and Erik decided to make it into a full mod that he could develop. That is when he started this message. So the code i have is taken from this message; http://www.phpbb...

Re: [BETA] News Forum

Can it be done by changing this; $phpbb_root_path = '../forum/' <h1>News from forum</h1> '; //-- Start the phpBB session AND include th...

Re: how to display forum data on different website

Anyone got any idea how i can do this?

For instance i just want to display a few peices of "Live Data" like number of posts in a forum or last person to post, but display this info on another html page or website.

I'm sure its just a short peice of code if someone would help me out.

Re: Non-Profit group needs help...phpBB : Critical Error ?

I'm not good at this but i will offer my 2 cents if it will help you. To convert your phpbb2 to phpbb3, you need to create the brand new phpbb3 in a different folder. So without touching your old forum you would be creating a new phpbb3 in something like http://www.yourdomain.com/phpbb3 once you hav...

Re: How do I change the moderators' colour from green?

Sorry,
I found the problem. I had to; Manage groups> Members>ยป Make default group for every member

That done the trick ;)

I'm OK again. Thanks,
John.
