Re: Adding new Bing bot

Thanks all! When I get a little time, I'll do some backups and try it.

Re: Adding new Bing bot

I have the 3.0.0 version, there is no auto update to take me from there to 3.0.8 as I understand it. But even at that, I did read in one place that the auto uploads (if there is one available for 3.0.0 to 3.0.8) do not affect mods, another place, it said it would delete all mods. So who or which one...

Re: Adding new Bing bot

Is there a way I can add that without doing the upgrade as my forum is heavily modified?

Adding new Bing bot

How do I add the new Bing bots to my bot group, so they can search my forums? I don't know what information to add for say the username, etc. when setting up for this bot. Is there somewhere that the newest bots are listed and what info to add in the bots group to allow them to search forums? Thanks!

Re: Updating from original 3.0.0 to 3.0.8

Thanks for the info Pitsbull, but that is exactly what I want to avoid. I do not want to start with a fresh install, even though you can save the images, posts, etc. but loose all the mods. I've made too many to do it that way. So my question remains, can I update without loosing all the mods? If not...

Updating from original 3.0.0 to 3.0.8

I still use the 3.0.0 version, and that has worked fine (except for mass email error messages- but still seems to work). I am thinking I probably should update, but am seeing a couple problems. The auto update says it will update modified versions, and mine is heavily modified with colors, text colo...

Re: Where is overall header code?

Yep, the clearing the cache made all the difference in the world. Learned something today, just hope I can remember it the next time. Thanks again guys! :D

Re: Where is overall header code?

Ok, I'll try to ad the banner again, and this time clear the cache to see if that does it. Thanks again Brf, your a lifesaver along with all the others that contribute to this great software. :D

Re: Where is overall header code?

At the risk of sounding stupid, what exactly do you mean by the forums cache folder- where is that?

Re: Where is overall header code?

You can find "site logo, log in text etc." in styles/your_style/template/overall_header.html What are you exactly trying to add/change ? That was the file I tried to change before, but when I refreshed, it did not show the changes, maybe the clearing the cache thing would do it? Didn't try that yet.

I take it a simple reload will not show the changes then?

Where is overall header code?

I thought I knew where this was, but I guess not. I am trying to add a banner ad to the header of each forum page (where it shows the site logo, log in text etc.) I found the overall_header html, but that is not changing anything by using that. I even tried a simple text change, but it seems to be t...
