Re: how to change a banner to a rotating banner

This hack breaks with PHP 5.3 'RANDOM' => mt_rand(1, 4), is the offending line I think here are the error messages. Warning: mt_rand() [function.mt-rand]: max(0) is smaller than min(7) in path/to/my/forum/test/includes/functions.php on line 4684 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers al...

Re: bbcode errors after upgrading to 3.10

OK, after much trial and error, I think I have found where the error is coming from occurring. The Database. I rebuilt a new 3.10 installation and hooked into a 3.09 DB copy I had. No errors. I then copied all the files from my error producing upgraded 3.10 install onto the newly built 3.10 and I ha...

Re: bbcode errors after upgrading to 3.10

I tried using original message_parser.php and functions.php. Still the same. I used the automatic update. That caused more issues. I then dropped a clean 3.10 down, added my mods and then copied over the top of my existing site. I'm starting to think it might be style related but I'm grasping at str...

bbcode errors after upgrading to 3.10

I've upgraded from .09 to .10. 2 weird issues. I started seeing errors when PMs were sent complaining that bbcode.html couldn't be found in the theme/template directory. It was never there as it was a derivative of prosilver and prosilver had the file. Copying prosilver's bbcode.html to my style sol...

Re: Birthdays on all Pages ?

Ah, I guess that proves the old saying that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. I guess I could use an include and write my own birthday.html which contains the index.php code. That would save me editing all of the PHPBB core files. Would would happen if the code was called twice in one pag...

Birthdays on all Pages ?

I'm trying to move the Birthday message to show on all pages, not just the home page, and at the top of the page. Getting to thew top is easy and I'm able to position it and format it fine with some CSS. What is driving me absolutely batty is no matter whether I stick the code in overall_header.html...

Re: [BETA] Double Account Preventer

Also, if there are any ideas that you have for this MOD, I would be more than happy to here them :) . Sounds great kmmlr. other ideas, these based on how VB's AE Detector works: Ability to PM Users (Admins, mods etc) if a duplicate is detected. Ability to post the message in a forum if a duplicate ...

Re: [BETA] Double Account Preventer

Does this stop people registering completely ? ideally I am looking for a system that wont prevent people creating a duplicate accouint, but will notify an admin, a group, or whatever, when when it detects a multiple account. Basing my thoughts on the vBulletin Alter-Ego detector, I see a need for a...

Re: duplicate account checker

I made a mod [BETA] Duplicate User IPs (0.0.1) which compares the registration IP address with IP addresses in database. If there is any duplicate IP, the send notification mail to admin an about that and also records IP sharing user_ids, in a new field ad users table of new user, thus if there is ...

cheers, that would be great. Someone just mentioned that there was a smilie mod for phpbb 2 so that might be a good starting point, but then again, I really have no idea.

Re: duplicate account checker

I've been looking for something similar for phpbb. I know there is a mod for VB that will, vie the use of cookies, track if more than one account logs in from the same PC. Sure there are sometimes false positives but it's managable. The Mod will either create a post in a particular forum with the AE...
