Re: [GDPR Violation] Deleting a user and its messages don't delete quotes

Thank you all for the help and clarity on the topic, I think you're right and this doesn't constitute any GDPR violation as the data is publicly available already.

I'll remove that "tag" from the topic title, not to confuse more people.

Re: [GDPR Violation] Deleting a user and its messages don't delete quotes

There is no need to do this. Once a post is quoted, it is the quoter's post. I understand your point, but the content of the quoter's post might not be his, and that's where things go weird in terms of legislation, because it's quoting an original content from another user. It's a grey area and no ...

Any post created, edited, or reparsed on phpBB 3.2 or later will be valid XML, yes.
Awesome :) Thanks for your tip, I'll post my script once I get anything working.

Thanks

Re: [GDPR Violation] Deleting a user and its messages don't delete quotes

If you manage to preserve the validness of the XML, then you don't have to reparse. That's risky though (especially if you consider nested quotes) and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're comfortable fixing things. You can use DOM manipulation rather than string manipulation so you don't accidenta...

Deleting a user and its messages don't delete quotes

Hi I've got a recent request from a user to delete his user and its posts, up to here all is good, I deleted everything, but now the user realised that the quotes to his posts are still present on the board and he is threatening with a GDPR complaint. I know this doesn't have wings to fly and this g...

Re: [BETA] Limit Topics Per User

Hi

I've recently upgraded my forum to 3.2.2 and it seems that this extension stopped working, is there any other reports from other people ?

Thanks.

Re: [3.1][BETA] Advanced Polls 1.2

While creating a poll on my board I got the following error:

https://s18.postimg.org/984genqkp/Erro.jpg

It seems that the poll_start is getting a negative value. Is this already known ? I didn't set any strange dates or so.

Thanks

Any plans for supporting notifications in 3.2 ?

Re: 'view first unread post' icon sends to older, wrong post

While writing the bug report I found what the issue is.

This is the browser caching working, it shows on the network tab that it is reading the page from the disk and not from the network.

So it will use the redirect it had previously cached.

Is there anyway to bypass cache for these urls ?

Re: 'view first unread post' icon sends to older, wrong post

This seems to happen on 3.2 as well, which was migrated from 3.0.11 which showed the same symptoms. On topics with a large amount of posts, the &view=unread doesn't jump to the correct page, the post icons on that page are all normal, and are marking the unread posts correctly starting on the first ...

Re: [3.1][BETA] Advanced Polls 1.2

I'm not sure this is 3.2 only or not as I only tested in 3.2 and not on 3.1, but prosilver's buttons.css has this entry:

Code: Select all

.post-buttons .button span {
	font-size: 0;
}
That's why there's the need to fix it in your css.
