Installed Quick Reply Mod, now Country Flags Don't Work?

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. If so, please move to the proper place. I has the Country Flags mod working great, and today I installed the Quick Reply mod. The quick reply mod only has me edit 3 files: viewtopic.php, language/lang_english/lang_main.php, and templates/my...

What The Hack Going Around Looks Like In Logs?

Hi everyone. I had the unfortunate pleasure of having a user of one of my servers not update their phpBB, and it's causing even more problems than just on their forums. Somehow there was an exploit that has caused problems server-wide. Problems such as scripts running that download malicious scannin...

1) If it's a free forum account with no FTP access it cannot be done as flogger said. If you know you have FTP access, then follow the instructions I or flogger posted. 2) Posting 19 minutes after your last one because someone didn't reply may annoy a few people. 3) I wouldn't trust just anyone with...

Upload it into the templates folder with all the images and required files. /your_forum_dir/templates/your_template_name/ Then go into the Admin CP > Styles Admin > Add It should show up there. Click "Install". Then it's installed. To have your username use it, go to your "Profile" and select it the...

Okay, try this. Open up the folder with your phpBB install. Then change into the templates directory. Then the subSilver directory. Open the file "overall_header.tpl" in Notepad or your favorite text editor. FIND <td><a href="{U_INDEX}"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif" border="0"...

If subSilver is the template, just upload it to (and rename):

/forum_dir/templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif

You could edit the template, but this is the easiest/fastest way.

I'm sorry that this happened to your forum. Customers of mine have had their forums hacked in the past, and a nasty exploit that came about after one customer didn't update their board this weekend caused some other problems. Determine when you think it happened. Look through the Apache logs. I don'...

Okay. I looked at the database, and if no flag is selected it automatically puts in "blank.gif" which is just a transparent image I believe. I may be telling it to check the wrong field. Here in usercp_register.php is the HTML part of it: // FLAGHACK-start // query to get the list of flags $sql = "S...

Well I'm not a PHP expert, but as stated before it says "SELECT COUNTRY" if nothing is selected, it isn't empty or blank. I tried this code as posted: else if ( $mode == 'register' ) { if ( empty($username) || empty($new_password) || empty($password_confirm) || empty($email) || empty($user_flag) ) {...

Hi, and thanks for the responses. I tried the code pasted by "End of a Shadow", and that didn't work since the $user_flag field is not empty if nothing is entered, it says "SELECT COUNTRY". So I tried to mess around with some code, but it didn't seem to like most of what I did. The only thing that I...

Making Registration Field Mandatory

Hi everyone. I installed the CountryFlag MOD on phpBB today. I know there is no way in the ACP to make a registration field mandatory, so I thought I'd ask you guys how it would be done in includes/usercp_register.php. I looked around in that file, but I am not very experienced at PHP. I just want t...

Show Post Content on Site Pages?

Hi everyone. I'm working on a site with someone, and we're trying to get some kind of script that will display the actual content of a thread. Here is an example. We want to have articles on the site, where the first post in the thread will be displayed on the article page for it. Then, people could...
