I think that the easiest way to do that would be to read it directly from the database using scripting language of your choice. If you use PHP for your main page then eloquent way to get the necessary settings for connecting the database would (imo) be including the config.php -file from the forum p...

Too bad that I do have to edit the code to achieve this. Well, I guess I knew that before I asked, but one can always hope :)

How so? I thought it's the outcome that counts, not the scripting engine or software that generates it. Of course if UBB can't support gzip and phpbb can, then the advantage is clearly with phpbb.
