Re: Disable last visited time for a certain user

Probably he don't want someone to know when he last was logged in. But moderators will always see that.

Disable last visited time for a certain user

One member has complained that last visited time is displayed in his user profile. It is not possible to change that in user profile settings due to a bridge to phpBB3 for Joomla -JFusion. I wonder can I change his user_lastvisit field in phpbb_users, so that the data is not stored there. What shall...

Re: TLS SMTP Support?

Most grateful for this. Have phpBB 3.0.14 and I can't upgrade due to a bridge I use for Joomla. My web host One.com changed mail settings and mail from phpBB3 stopped working. But using ssl://, port 465 and authentication method LOGIN worked very well. The password for One.com SMTP is the password y...

Re: Database table "phpbb_posts" corrupted regularly. How to fix?

You got warning of the index file. I know it possible to remove the index file and recreate it again. I have done this with MySQLDumper, but I don't rememberhow I did it, but it was possible. The index file is greater than the content in phpbb_posts.

Re: Database table "phpbb_posts" corrupted regularly. How to fix?

No, he shall repair of course, but I told how a huge table works. It get locked on such operations and you have to wait at least 5-7 minutes until the process is completed. I also thinks that the web host can repair it in a more efficent way from command line from MySQL with some extra options for d...

Re: Database table "phpbb_posts" corrupted regularly. How to fix?

I also have a huge phpbb_posts table and when I optimize it freezes, because it locks the table. This leads that the site does not work. It works again after 5-7 minutes and during this time the table has been optimized.

Re: Forum is consuming too much Memory

Note that PHP 7 will be double faster and also consume less memory. However, I don't know, if phpBB 3.0 is PHP 7 compliant. My host have PHP 7 as a choice and also have 500 MB in memory for about 2 USD a month. For 5 USD a month you get 1000 MB in memory.

Re: Blank pages without php error

I checked your website in Chrome browser. Clicked on Right Mouse Button and chose Inspect. It reports a 404 error i.e missing file probably.

Open link in new window in post?

Earlier I had this working very well with a mod, but after upgrade to 3.0.14 I get different problems with all 3 MODS tested. I wonder if anyone got a modification that works with phpBB 3.0.14. I can't upgrade to phpBB 3.1, because I have Joomla and the bridge to 3.1 is not ready yet. This MOD works...
