Re: Auto url shortener link creation? Or hide domain for outbound links?

Found a solution! It appears that there are several websites that can hide the referrer (google this last phrase if wanted) to anonymise links. Just their url, followed by a ? and then any url you want to throw at it.

Re: Issues upgrading from 3.0.14

Sorted, thanks! I ran that change and purged the cache, but it had no effect Then I finally took notice of the text saying you should only have one index at a time, deleted the native fulltext index that had carried across from 3.0.14, and hey presto! Took a few runs to finish after timing out at fi...

Auto url shortener link creation? Or hide domain for outbound links?

This is a bit of a weird request. There's a website my forum members use that has taken the bizarre step to discourage traffic by redirecting visitors coming from certain domains, including mine, to a fake "this site is under maintenance" page. The workaround my users have found is to copy and paste...

Styles for 3.2.7

On the customisation database, it appears only prosilver has a version for above 3.2.5 With the release of phpBB 3.2.6, performing a login now requires a "form token", and results in "the submitted form is invalid" when those form token fields don't exist. The primary login forms in the phpBB 3.2.6 ...

Re: Issues upgrading from 3.0.14

Right now for other reasons I'm comparing my site's phpbb_config table to that in a fresh installation of 3.2.7 And I notice that the config search_type has the value \phpbb\search\fulltext_mysql as opposed to \phpbb\search\fulltext_native on the fresh installation. Worth changing to match vanilla? ...

Re: Issues upgrading from 3.0.14

Any ideas on how to resolve this error screen I get when I create the index for MySQL Fulltext in the search index section?

Re: Issues upgrading from 3.0.14

Just to be on the safe side, all of the four are safe to delete, right? Yes - anything that does not have the name as "proper" text is OK to delete - but, there is always a but, make sure you have a backup of the database first. Thanks. And might I add, your privacy extension was the first one I've...

Re: Issues upgrading from 3.0.14

Ah! Sorry, I didn't see "Module Management", I was looking at the clickable pages.

Thank you very much. I've found and disabled these and now have access to the Users and Groups page:

You can also delete that module in ACP => System => module management =>
I should clarify that I'm on 3.2.7 now, so that pathway doesn't exist here

Re: Issues upgrading from 3.0.14

Very pleasingly, I've managed to upgrade my forum to the latest phpbb with everything intact! However, I've encountered one issue so far and I would very much appreciate any advice. In the ACP, when I click onto Users and Groups, it opens this error page: https://i.imgur.com/ZXdj66F.jpg This relates...

Re: Issues upgrading from 3.0.14

Ignore the above. I deleted the STK folder, re-uploaded and Database Cleaner opened correctly. Running through it now. It identifies the changes it needs to make, but in the process it hits a 500 Internal Server Error Request Timeout This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the ser...
