No 'register' option

Good afternoon. =) I have a phpBB 3.0 private forum where I'd once removed the 'register' button from the top of the home page. I'd like to restore the 'register' button/hyperlink, but can't remember which file houses the code that causes it to be displayed. Can someone help with that? Thanks. In my...

No input?

I'm sure that one of you smart guys out there has more experience than I, and can shed some light on this apparent problem. Please?

Re: Search failure: "Common words" ...

Setting Common word threshhold = 99 means that a search-term would have to be in virtually every post to be classified as "common". I've done that, then searched for a word ("military") used on the forum that might occur in perhaps 3-5 posts of 676. Why does this not work as expected? The following ...

Search failure: "Common words" ...

As per the instructions in the 3.0 documentation, I've set the Search Settings | Common word threshhold to zero in order to "disable this threshold and thereby allow searches using all words, even if they can be common". I still see the following message when I search for "common terms", however: Th...

Re: Can guests 'View Active Topics'?

I see the same on my forum.

This, even though I had explicity gone through permissions for all of my forums and set Guest rights to "No Access". How is it then that they have access to the "View Active Topics" hyperlink?

database conversion :: can't connect to source db

I just installed a new phpBB 3.0. Clicking the Convert tab, I respond with the appropriate values. The error message that's returned says: Could not connect to the database, see error message below. No error message given. "No error message"? Something is clearly wrong, or I'd be able to continue wi...

It's unclear to me what the specific contents and format of the config.php file should be. Has o...

Right now, there are three Members and four Guests participating within the forum. The Admin panel indicates that the four Guest participants are all using the same IP addres...
