phpbb3 - all images hosted on a remote location

Hello, I would like to ask you - which file controls generation of the img urls, for example " IMG_ICON_USER_WARN_SRC " becomes "./styles/style_name/imageset/icon_user_warn.gif", etc. I need to host my static content (my style's css & images + forum emoticons) on a remote server to alleviate web ser...

Re: Destroy all sessions of a specific user

I guess that there's just the need to change the query a little bit so that it deletes only the entries with that user id, nothing more is required?

Destroy all sessions of a specific user

Hello,

I'm making myself a private mod for phpBB, and I need a way to correctly destroy all sessions of a given user_id when he visits a page containing the code, and not only the current session, so that all people (if there are other) currently logged into that account will be logged out.

Sorry, my fault. I was using the $cache var in one of my own scripts, which is included on every page and was causing the problem.

Re: Regarding ranks...

Now that I upgraded to the latest phpBB version, the code to clean the rank's cache - $cache->destroy('_ranks');, doesn't work anymore.

It gives the following error when called:
Fatal error: Call to a member function destroy() on a non-object
How should I clear the cache now?

Banning IPs by seperate php script

Hello, I'm currently trying to do the following: ban ip through submitting it by a separate php file directly to the phpbb _banlist table. mysql_query("INSERT INTO phpbb_banlist (ban_ip, ban_start, ban_give_reason) VALUES('$ip', '$time', '$ban_reason')") or die(mysql_error()); Everything is filled u...

After adding a new rank you would have to clear the ranks cache.
The standard phpBB ranks routine uses:

Code: Select all

$cache->destroy('_ranks');
Thank you very much, it worked! :)

Re: Regarding ranks...

I've added mysql_real_escape_string and it's still the same.

And I already have file type restrictions for the uploaded images.

I didn't understood what you said about ; ?

Regarding ranks...

Hi, I made a script which my site's users can use to change their forum rank to custom of their choice (they're able to type own rank text and upload own image) at the cost of very small amount of money. The problem is that when the rank is changed, it isn't visible in the forum, but everything seem...

Bump,

no one got this problem? It occurs only under Firefox, tried under 3.0.3 and 3.0.4 versions.

Re: Upgraded to 3.0.3, can't reply to or send PMs

Have you also updated your template to 3.0.3? No, "SkyBlue" still doesn't have a 3.0.3 version, but the default styles - prosilver and subsilver2 have this problem too (and they were updated during the upgrade), so I think it's not because of this. EDIT: This problem doesn't occur when account is a...
