Correct. If you'd read the guide I put up, it tells you how to cicrumvent this. There is an area of the Sourceforge web space that writes are allowed - /tmp/persistent/projectname - so you have to use that (easiest to use symlinks to there) and this is described in the guide.

This looks very promising. Does it work with php4? Is it likely to change much in future versions? (I don't want to install something too unstable and have to deal with future admin headaches.)
