Re: How to disable viewing of Memberlist and Profiles?

Due to privacy concerns, I would like to prevent viewing of the Memberlist and Member Profiles to everyone, including Registered Members. Is there a way to do this? I've had a few people refuse to join because this information is wide open. Thanks, Andy Andy, Have a search of these forums for this ...

Installed and Tested the full keep flags mod.. Got a little burnt over the way it tracks all unread topics including the ones the user currently does not have access to.. but not that hard to get around and posted a mod in the keep flags mod topic to deal with it.. Read_history for me is dead now, I...

Not all : some parts are dedicated to some other mods of mine (categories hierarchy ie :)). Activating the database storage is a matter of creating a field and setting a constant to true. Although it is split in a seperate part (3 lines :)) for more clarity, I don't think the emphasis is required f...

Hmmm yes if you install ALL the parts of the Keep Unread Flags I agree they would be the same thing..

The original mod author stopped this mod a while ago, it was bound to happen that another mod would take it's place..

I not used the Keep Unread Flags so I cannot say which one works better..

Read History only uses Cookies for Guest, for registered phpbb users read_data is kept in a read_history table.

Hiya Mark, It has been a while since we last spoke.. I just upgraded two of my boards with 1.08. As I have said before, great mod, very popular on my boards :-) Now the not so good news.. 1) Email Digest URL is set to null (I hard coded the URL to fix this) 2) The timezone down the bottom of the ema...

Guild Modification.. How do I add a second Menu Level?

I been working on a guild function(s) that will completely sit within the phpbb environment, So far all the basic functions are working well but I would like to change the page header where it shows the forum link levels so I can add an additional url to respresent another "up" level.. ie right now....

I would suggest the same, otherwise you would have to do a conversion everytime the mail_digests was executed..

How about we flip this issue around, the date will be stored in server time but when viewing digests.php instead the date is displayed in the user timezone.

How does that sound?

Actually the user timeoffset is stored in their profile under timezone

it could probably be done but you're right, it's probably pretty complicated. The users table contains a user_timezone column. Comparing it to the value in the config table for board_timezone, doing the difference and writing some sort of offset algorithm might do the trick. If I have a couple hour...

Nah the orange folder remains a feature in core 2.0.6 :-) Maybe they will fix it in 2.2!
