Re: Multiplying the no. of topics/posts x 2 -- possible?

The OP wants to bloat their post counts in the hopes that this will somehow attract more users to the forum. Sadly, others think this will work as well. Yes...the insanity of it all I tell you! I think insanity was the key word in your response, David. I'll leave this topic alone now, if I may...

Re: PM Problem (notification e-mail repeats over and over)

Guys, I've read this and other topics on this problem start to finish, and can perhaps provide some clarity for users who are experiencing this problem. In my case (PHPBB3.0.2 running on a Win Server 2003 box), it was my mis-configuration of the permissions that was to blame. At first glance, every...

Perhaps the OP can describe exactly what he is trying to achieve here...

I'm sure someone could help.

Re: Why would you remove the Powered by phpBB text?

What is the point of keeping powered by phpBB text in phpBB2 boards? The support for us will end in a few days. :) 80% of the phpBB forums on the internet are phpBB2. I think all this people have to take out that text because the support is over for some time, just not official... But who ask help ...

Re: Multiplying the no. of topics/posts x 2 -- possible?

I haven't been around here for a while due to other commitments.
I came back to check my active topics.

And this one was still alive - one has to wonder why of all things still going, ways to deceive your users would still be so popular.

Or not...

It's a forum permission

Do what stevemaury suggested in each forum, and that should solve your problem.

Re: permits groups

I'm terribly sorry - I read your post several times, and I cannot work out what you are asking. Are you talking about the fact that you, as Admin, cannot delete posts ? If so, you need to give your user Moderator permissions. If I've misunderstood you, please fill out the Support Request Template an...

Re: Posting an ".flv player skin" along with the ".flv movie"

I didn't necessarily mean a link to a phpbb post using the custom skin, just a link to any page on the internet using it, or a similar skin, with the behaviour you desire, so that we could look at the source from the page to see how it is constructed.

Re: Blank Page Only :(

Maybe the server changes they made mean that mysqli no longer works with the new setup, whereas mysql does - in which case no change was made to your config.php file, but it needed changing to work with the new server setup ;)

The fact that they suggested that fix would perhaps support that.

Have a look at this topic:

But pay great attention to the warnings about backing up your database
if you decide to try the solution in there.

Re: Custom BBCodes

Hiya all, I have tried to search the forums for a way to implement "code snippet" BBCode. You know the exact same code used for the [ code] [/ code] thing. Maybe I'm not typing the correct name for the BBCode. Can anyone help please? On my own forums it seems to just appear like a quote and has no ...
