without getting too far into specifics, it sounds like you're having some issues with your phpBB setup in general. you should ALWAYS have an anonymous user, that's how guests post (and all posts through the NNTP gateway are displayed as guests), and there appears to be an issue with the way your vie...

2) I'm using 1 newsfeed that brings really long subject lines, so i decided to allow subjects up to 120 chars instead of 60 chars. I changed it in SQL etc, just the find input mod still don't use more chars. Anyone got an idea where to change this? in functions_news.php (in /mods/netclectic/find_in...

the go-newssync is a command file, you're supposed to call it directly, not use a GET command. By using the GET, you're essentially typing that URL into your web browser, so you get the obvious results - the contents of the file. conversely, you can use the php command and run newssync.php directly,...

5 posts between the two of you in a little over 3 hours. patience is a virtue, and a courtesy. as far as putting dynamic content into a static HTML page, it is possible through both JavaScript (using the document.write method) as well as through SSI, where you can use a CGI script to dump out the co...

you can do that by making the view access of the forum PRIV and then assign the individual group (comprised of the people you wish to have access) access to the forum

you might also want to consider implementing the attachment mod so you tie the documents directly to the individual topics

i don't really imagine so... it would require an SQL query for each thread in the display. it'd be technically possible, but i'd question the practicality of it. it's a lot of overhead to justify.

not aware of anything offhand, but it sounds like a reasonable request.. should be fairly easy too I imagine... just doesn't have to generate the replies if the current username doesn't match the poster name.

although to be done right, it probably should be toggle-able for each forum i imagine

I don't have an original to check, but I believe admin_db_utilities includes code that specifically mentions which tables to back up. I can't help any further because I actually have a mod there to back up ALL tables without specifying them ahead of time.
