Custom Header Image

I am still navigating through and learning all of the new stuff on 3.0. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to get a custom image to appear in the header. How do I do this? I tried adding the basic html image code (<img src=http://www.image.jpg>) into the overall_header.html file but nothing appe...

Re: Conversion Time?

Thanks guys, for all of the help, I just finished up the conversion earlier today, although it went about as badly as it possibly could have. :P Apparently, the export issue was the result of the host's servers timing out after 30 seconds and once that was resolved I managed to grind my way through ...

Re: Conversion Time?

Well, I think I almost have this finished. However, everytime I convert the old board over to the new phpBB3 version it's moving just a fraction of total posts and other information. It doesn't make any sense as the tables in the database show the same number of posts, members, and all other informa...

Re: Conversion Time?

According to my host I will have to do this manually. I downloaded EasyPHP 1.8 but everytime I select PHPMyAdmin from the configuration menu I receive "Can't launch browser : copy this address in your favorite browser : 'http://127.0.0.1/mysql'. (to correct this error define a default browser)&...

Re: Conversion Time?

Kevin,

Thanks. It lets me continue the conversion but I always get the same thing once I click the continue conversion button, a blank web page. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong...

Conversion Time?

I am converting over from 2.0.23 to 3.0.2. How long does the conversion process usually take? :| The forum really isn't that large, only about 11,000 posts and almost 400 members but from the conversion page after clicking "Continue Conversion" or "New Conversion" all I have seen...

Re: [2.0.17] Inline Banner Ad

Ah, perfect! Thanks again for everything. One final question. If I wanted to remove the border around the ads how would I go about doing that?

Re: [2.0.17] Inline Banner Ad

sfifabian,

If you right click on that audio/movie (MPEG) file and highlight "Open With" then select a basic text editor like Notepad from the list, or search for it from the "Choose Program" option at the very bottom of the list, the directions will open.

Re: [2.0.17] Inline Banner Ad

Oh, yes, I forgot and left that one out. All works well now, my apologies!

Also, one other thing, which is more of a cosmetic issue. The first ad centers nicely but the other two appear on the left side of the page. Is there any way to correct this so they are centered as well?

Re: [2.0.17] Inline Banner Ad

Dell, Many thanks, I'm getting very close with this! My biggest obstacle now is when I go into the admin control panel and attempt to add ad code or change the ad configuration. When I go to click "Add New Ad" I get this error "Template->make_filename(): Error - file admin/inline_ad_c...

Re: [2.0.17] Inline Banner Ad

I have had luck uploading all needed files and information but I'm not sure how to get the layout to match my style? I have the needed code uploaded into the style I am using but the subSilver setup, of course, doesn't jive. Also, the header code in my style is a bit different than the subSilver sty...
