Re: 3.0.0 to latest version?

1. YES 2. Considering the size of your board, I would go through 3.0.14, then 3.1.12 and then to the latest 3.2.x 3. That's something for the Wanted! forum Remark:, the size of your database may be a problem for online upgrading. You could either use CLI (that's my advice) or Upgrade on personal we...

3.0.0 to latest version?

Evening all. My site has been running PHPBB since 2002 and around 10 years or so ago (possibly more) I gave up updating to the latest version as we were quite happy with it as it was (and the entire process was a bit too time consuming). Anyway, the site is currently undergoing a major transformatio...

Re: Help required: upgrading 3.0.0 to 3.0.6

Kevin - thank you. That's really helpful. Will look into the prune function right away.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, question 5 never made the final draft but I foolishly forgot to remove the reference...

Help required: upgrading 3.0.0 to 3.0.6

As it says on the tin! Am currently running 3.0.0 (with a modified Prosilver theme) and wish to upgrade to the latest release. I've searched around the forum and found answers to one or two questions but nothing comprehensive, so I wondered if someone could point me in the right direction. My apolog...

Forum-specific permissions problem

Looking for some advice ... In our forums we have a specific forum for moderators only. In our previous phpbb v2 the moderators had access to the moderators forum. Since changing to phpbb v3 none of the mods can see the mods forum on the forum index page - only the Admins group can view this forum. ...

A big thankyou to chyduskam for this, you've saved my bacon. Had terrible grief as a result of using the auto prune function; it kept dropping half way through which subsequently rendered that particular forum unusable - until I was able to apply this fix.

Much appreciated.

Drexion: thanks. I'll give it a go.

It's been a while since I modded anything but I'm pretty sure all the mods I've made are layout changes (table wirths, form sizes, colours etc). Nothing much grander than that.

Okay ... I'm looking at running a clean install of 2.0.11 - but can see no info with regard to compatibility with v2.0.3 db. The knowledge base re-install page says nothing about incompatibilities and how to deal. I have been recommended to upgrade versions gradually - again, can anyone confirm? If ...

Probably would be easiest to start fresh and reinstall any MODs (make sure they're compatible with 2.0.11). The official upgrading phpBB knowledge base article ;) Thanks ... I had had a browse around there previously but could find nothing to confirm whether I needed to upgrade in stages or not.

Upgrading 2.0.3 to 2.0.11

Problem: I need to upgrade from v 2.0.3 to 2.0.11 (I know, I know). Mods: My forum is heavily modded but I'm happy to start from scratch with a clean software install. Question: What in your opinion is the easiest way to upgrade? I understand some tables/the db index was changed from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 ...

BB Code and forum width

I'm resizing the general width of my forum and am having a few probs with the BB Code links. Pictures being easier than words sometimes here's a screen dump of what I have so far: http://www.kumb.com/mod.jpg As you can see the BB Code buttons are pushing the width of my table out - can anyone help o...
