If I do it manually I get too many errors and I have not been able to patch it on the new host.

I was going to do that, but I cannot get to the admin cp due to the errors.

Doing a clean install of a long time board

I suddenly started getting error messages preventing logging in to our message board http://messageboard.druidry.org The following errors are displayed briefly: Strict Standards: Non-static method utf_normalizer::nfkc() should not be called statically in /home/druboard/public_html/includes/utf/utf_t...

Re: Apostrophe in URL breaks link

Opps, I was looking at 'Modifier Letter Apostrophe". Still doesn't work, though it displays properly in phpBB:

http://futurity.org/top-stories/corn-sy ... at-secret/

I get a 404 page with %27, but the correct URL with an '

Must be the page.

Thanks,

BB

Apostrophe in URL breaks link

I cannot get this URL to create a complete link in 3.0.7 PL1, because of the apostrophe: http://futurity.org/top-stories/corn-syrup’s-big-fat-secret/print/ It also does not work with URL=. I even tried to replace it with %D5, but that does not work in the browser. Is this a bug? How can I make it wo...

For what?

Code: Select all

[pix={SIMPLETEXT}]{URL}[/pix]

<img src="{URL}" alt="{SIMPLETEXT"} />
That doesn't work?
No I just get the URL surrounded by the BBCode in text.

Re: ACCESSIBILITY: The [IMG] BBCode

The only security issue I remember is people using {TEXT} as an HTML attribute. I believe there was also a discussion about this (adding it big notice to warn users, etc, etc, etc). Yes it gives a warning: The BBCode you are trying to add seems to use a {TEXT} token inside a HTML attribute. This is...

ACCESSIBILITY: The [IMG] BBCode

My forum has a number of people with visual problems and use page readers. IMO, the [IMG] BBCode should be rewritten to allow the use of ALT text which is required by W3C accessibility criteria. It should be constructed so that [IMG="ALT TEXT"] can be used. I have a custom [PIX] BBCode for this, but...

Can I modify the included BBCodes?

In 3.0.7 PL1. can I modify an existing tag that is included with phpBB 3? Or do I have to create a new BBCode?

EG, can I redefine [IMG]?:

Code: Select all

[IMG={TEXT}]{URL}[/IMG]

Code: Select all

<img src="{URL}" alt="{TEXT}" />

Changing the size of the Smiley pop-up

phpBB 3.0.6

I would like to change the size of the smiley window which pops-up when "View more smilies" is clicked. I want all smiles to appear in one window rather than have them paginated.

Where can I find the code for the size parameters of this window?

TIA,

Bill

View active topics not working correctly

I recently did a fresh install of 3.0.6 on an active board. We were on 3.0.1. The only thing I cannot get to work properly is the View active topics link.
