Re: Problem with banning

IP ban literally only bans the IP. You want to ban the username.

Re: Strange Text Symbols - Error, includes/functions.php

Dreamweaver is your problem, use a REAL text editor like Notepad++ (There are more listed in the KB).

Re: Crazy database question

In theory, it could work. Having said this, it is very complicated. I personally have never seen it done successfully, and have even tried it a few times. I'd advise against it, however if you insist on digging further, there are some tools that may be able to help your painstaking struggle.

Re: Mass Email max. 200 per hour

Great! Is there a way to somehow limit the number to 200/ hour? If you send them as suggested above every 10 minutes that would be 5 times in 1 hour and that would be 40 messages per packet = 200 per hour. This will run automatically, right? Cause when I just cecked on the open firefox tab, it was ...

Re: Posting permission issues

Go to Permissions > View forum-based permissions in the ACP. Select a forum that is having this problem. Pick a user that is having this problem and type their name in the box on the bottom left. Go to the MISC tab and press the trace arrow beside "Can post without approval". Take a screenshot and p...

Re: site admin display

"Site admin" is the default Rank of the Administrators usergroup, as well as its default red color. If you set the Administrators group as that user's Default group, he should inherit both. If you are asking for his name to be in the color of the Administrators group, and his rank tho display as Si...

Re: Unable to access ACP

Most likely, it is an issue with your cookie settings, either in your browser or on your domain. Try pressing the "Delete all board cookies" button on the bottom right when logged in, log in again and see if the issue is fixed. If you do manage to get in the ACP, please post your cookie settings here.

Re: [BETA] Notes for Friends & Foes

Fixes the bug where "Attach Note" is stored into the Database if no reason is entered.

OPEN: includes\ucp\ucp_zebra.php

FIND:

Code: Select all

'note'			=> $data['note']
REPLACE WITH:

Code: Select all

'note'			=> ($data['note'] != $user->lang['ZEBRA_ADD_NOTE']) ? $data['note'] : ""

the phpBB founder permission only allows the user to do things and change settings inside phpBB. It has nothing to do with your hosting control panel.

Re: How do I change the order in the Member List?

It is simple alphabetical order, however if you want a small secret (without any coding) to move yourself to the top, add an asterisk (*) to the beginning of your rank.

Re: Relocate to new domain on same server?

I believe he is asking if you can run two copies of the files, on two separate domains, with the same set of tables. The only problem would be with your cookie settings, so the domain that the cookies aren't setup for, would be slightly affected, but you are safe to leave your old forum up until you...
