Re: Prune inactive users

Thanks! I had been looking at that page, but didn't see the mark all link. Works a charm now.

Prune inactive users

I have about 2000 inactive users (bots) on my board. I finally managed to get recaptcha working, and have opened up my board to new registrations again, but I'm wondering how to prune inactive accounts. I've read that it's default as of 3.06, and I have 3.07, but I don't see this option anywhere in ...

Re: reCAPTCHA not work on 3.0.6 with all styles

I had this problem. In the end I managed to fix it by doing the following: NOTE: This is a total hack. It will prevent other visual confirmation methods from working on your system. I am NOT a phpbb coder, and I only know how to hack things together in PHPBB. I needed recaptcha to work, and I am ok ...

Re: Improving the PHPBB update process

I agree that hooks need to be thought about ahead of time or some might be missed, but over time (and new versions of the software) missing hooks can be filled in. One nice thing about Drupal is that they also give module developers the ability to add their own hooks. So for example, the ubercart e-...

Re: Improving the PHPBB update process

Oh! I'm glad to hear that this is already in the works. I'm a little embarrassed about being behind the times on this to tell the truth! Thanks for the links.

Improving the PHPBB update process

I installed a PHPBB3 board about two years ago, as a temporary board to use amongst some friends. After installing it, I spent the last couple of years working on Drupal. Drupal has a forum module that ships with core, but the forum module is far inferior to PHPBB. But that's not really what my post...

SEO Mod problems

I posted this in the SEO mod thread, but the problem only half lies with that mod, which is why I am posting here. When creating a poll, a hyphen is being added to the end of the URL in the action of the form tag. Since the URL with a hyphen on the end doesn't exist, users votes are not being regist...

Re: SEO MOD

I have been using this mod mostly problem free for a while, but I have discovered a problem. When setting up a poll (or a survey, using the survey mod) the action of the form is incorrect, causing the polls to not work. A hyphen is added to the end of the URL in the action of the form tag. There is ...

If it's admin URLs, that's a HUGE security risk!

Re: Creating New Conditionals for Templates

I ended up adding the code to includes/functions.php, and it works. Thanks for the link ToonArmy.

Re: Creating New Conditionals for Templates

Thanks, that's a good nudge in the right direction. But I'm still left unclear as to which file I should add my code to. The template I want to have the conditional inside is overall_header. Should I add the code to functions.php? Or is there a better page to add the code to?

Re: User Blog Mod

Thanks, I'll play with that. It's not necessarily the best way of doing it, but it's a way of doing it. I'm sure I can manage to get it to work the way I want.

Creating New Conditionals for Templates

My phpbb (3.3) installation is contained inside a CMS, and is located at /forum. I have a template with some tabs across the top for various sections of my site. One of the tabs is 'blog'. Now, the way my site works is that if you are on any page other than the forum, the CMS controls everything. I ...
