Re: nofollow in phpBB3

Yes and no. Technically there is no way to influence a spider, apart from restricting it server side (e.g. add an IP ban in the webserver). Link attributes and robots.txt however, are ways to "instruct" a spider. Whether or not a spider follows these instructions, will never be sure. Basically all s...

Ontopic: check wikipedia's Geolocate article, some of its links are quite nice.

Re: Topic Text in Mouse Over

I've got it set to this: Allow Post Text In Mouse Hover: Yes Display for the Hover: Both Posts Is there anything else I should alter? It seems like it's simply not being included for the main page forums. My forum has a structure like this: Forum overview > Cat1 > forum 2 > topics > forum 3 > topics...

Re: Topic Text in Mouse Over

Can't help you without being able to see the forum. Thanks for your help so far anyway, I'll try redoing the edits once more :) Something else, is it possible to have the same tooltip everywhere? On index.php and subcategories it's showing the standard hover tooltip, while in forums it's showing yo...

Re: Topic Text in Mouse Over

Refresh the theme in the ACP. Didn't help. I refreshed theme, template and imagesets, then pruned cache. It seems like all mouse-hover texts are now displayed below content. On the forum overview page it appears like nothing changed, tooltips are as normal and there's no preview box. Upon visiting ...

Re: Topic Text in Mouse Over

Double check the edits you did to viewforum_body.html, I don't believe you edited the file correctly. I changed </a><!-- ENDIF --> to <!-- ENDIF --></a>, now it's being displayed. Is it supposed to display in a small tooltip box under the mouse? I'm getting it at the bottom of the page, below all c...

Re: Topic Text in Mouse Over

I've installed this mod on 3.0.5, and I'm having problems with my viewforum_body.html What happens is that the first row is looks correct, but the other ones appear to be shifted one cell to the left. In the source you can see this as follows: <li class="row bg2"> <dl class="icon" style="background-...

Re: Evil Quick Reply

I've installed this mod on 3.0.5. The Quick Reply image refuses to pop up. I checked the source to see if there was any trace of it, but no: <div class="topic-actions"> <div class="buttons"> <div class="reply-icon"><a href="./posting.php?mode=reply&f=21&t=14&sid=4997a0224ea8c96db6237993525303fb" tit...

Yep, followed all procedures.. Purging cache, refreshing theme/template/images etc.

I also manually deleted all files in /cache/ but it doesn't help :(

Re: Contact Board Admin

I've installed this mod on phpBB 3.0.5. It works perfectly fine, apart from the "icon-contact" class. I've tried renaming the "icon-contact" class in all 4 files (overall_header.html, colours.css, bidi.css, buttons.css), but it still wouldn't work. Then I've tried to make the class similar to "icon-...

Re: nofollow in phpBB3

The rel="nofollow" tag notifies the google bot / spider to ignore the link.

That means that your website / forum doesn't add to the pagerank of the links, thus making it useless for spambots to post links.
