Re: viewforum_body.tpl Not Working!!!!

I'm trying to create my own template to match the rest of my website, and its going well. To do it, I have to resize the main tables of every page by changing the 100% table widths to 70%. However, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I DO TO viewforum_body.tpl DOES ANYTHING! The tables just stay 100% wide on the to...

Well, to actually scroll text all you need is to put it between <marquee></marquee> tags, along with setting the direction and speed. I've never used Nuke, and to be honest I don't think its supported here, but I'll take a shot anyway. Does the admin panel let you add content to the tables on the pa...

Have you tried looking for a phpBB portal? I'm actually working on my own script to do just this, so if I get it finished and working I might look into releasing it as a MOD >_>. Anyway, right now it sounds like your best bet would be to look for a portal with the phpBB module. It isn't supported he...

With a fresh install, you lose everything. However, if you upgrade you can get the latest version without losing anything (in theory). You said you have mods installed that don't work correctly, so if you can I would suggest just upgrading. The hardest part of upgrading is doing so with mods install...

Well, if you want to learn more about FTP, try using WS_FTP. Its an extremely simple FTP program that does most any FTP command you might need. If you want to learn the actual commands, just look at its log file after it performs an action.

Well, if you don't have any MODs installed (or don't care to lose them), then I don't see what the harm would be in going ahead and using the files you uploaded, and simply running the SQL update file. The board itself will work fine; you'll just lose all of your mods. So, what is the problem if you...

Can't you just use HTML marquee and put it in the table that you want it displayed in?

The size settings are IN the template files that call for the images. Try finding the images in the template files, and changing the HTML where they are included.

I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but perhaps the pros might give it a little consideration....could this be an exploit in EasyMOD? That would be easy to see, considering it exists to modify files in phpBB and is also Beta quality software.

I thought that just pointed to phpBB's root directory, not the site's root directory. That would work if phpBB was installed into the root of the site, but its installed in the /forum directory.

Including Files Outside Of phpBB

I'm working on a simple administrator notepad feature, just for kicks. Its working fine if the text file containing the notes is in the admin directory, but I want to use a file in a different directory from phpBB in the root altogether. As in, for example, if my phpBB board was: http://www.example....

Well, I'm back to having the same problem. Last time I used an earlier version of phpBB when this worked, but now when I use the above code in 2.0.18, nothing shows up on the page but the header information thats included!

So I ask again, how do I skin an admin page?
