Re: Ranking List Mod (request)

From looking at that link you posted, that has nothing to do with phpBB? You would be best writing a script yourself, or paying someone to do the work for you. I'll do it for £200. :ugeek: EDIT: Perhaps you are looking for something like this..... http://webscripts.softpedia.com/script/Games/Footbal...

Re: Prune Private Messages PMs Over X Months Old

I have been looking at the includes/functions_privmsgs.php file and the code that deletes private messages is in there. I will have to have a look at what it is doing and understand the structure and relationships between the various tables in the database and come up with something. I would have th...

Prune Private Messages PMs Over X Months Old

I have searched without finding any MODs that can prune Private Messages from the database that are, say, 6 months old or more. Before I go and write a script myself to get the job done (and remove some of the ten thousand+ PMs from my database) I thought I would ask here to see if it has been done ...

I think you can force it to update by flushing your cache.

Re: Activity Stats MOD

I edited the template file a bit, within subsilver2, so that it formats a bit neater. This is the entire contents of my index_body.html file for subsilver2 below which ends up looking like my forum does > http://forum.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk/ <!-- INCLUDE overall_header.html --> <!-- IF U_MCP --> <di...

Re: HELP! my wife accidentally destroyed our forum

Are you sure it was your wife?? Yes, changing the default theme via phpmyadmin should do the trick. If you have trouble with that, perhaps overwrite the new theme files with the files from the default theme so that, although the theme names may be different in your database, the files should b...

Re: No emails being sent

Perhaps the SMTP server on your machine is not on?? Perhaps ask them to check all services are running on your server.

Re: My slow forum - please help?

Perhaps there is some sort of throttle limit on your connection to your server with GoDaddy. Perhaps change the permissions on your forum so that only registered users can view forums (but unregistered guests can at least "see" them! I did that on my forum and cut out a lot of traffic from search en...

Perhaps re-upload your avatars to the server if you backed them up? I always back things up every few days should things go wrong!!

Re: Reset settings without logging in.

Do you have a backup of your database that you can revert to?

Re: Page Title?

You could do that by editing the templates file called overall_header.php as one possible method. Else there should be something in the admin ACP to edit the forum title.

Re: error: Images cannot be openend and/or have the wrong size?

Is the problem with all your images? If just one image, perhaps your image file has become corrupted? Do you have backups of your files that you could write over what is currently on your server?

Re: Search for a forum name?

As far as I am aware, phpBB doesnt allow that. You would have to write a custom mod to allow you to search the forum names.

Sounds like you have an awful lot of forums!!
