Well in this particular case, the plan is to get spam...

Is it possible to do it without creating any actual folders? I mean, that's the function of mod_rewrite right?

Re: emulating forum in a different location using apache

Well it's a long story but basically we're creating a spam database / crawler to track how spammers will begin to post - in this case - on phpbb3 forums. Many spammers use crawlers, some use premade databases, and some simply download directory information. This particular excercise will help to eva...

Re: Accidentally deleted my phpbb_user_group table!!

As a point of interest though, registration, posting, administrative tasks and guest status worked fine without the user/admin group existing in phpbb_user_group. Neat.

emulating forum in a different location using apache

I would like to emulate a copy of my forum in a sub-folder of my existing forum as a test for a crawler we're developing. I have a phpbb3 forum set up at a main domain (say example.com), but now I also want it to display in example.com/clone1, and example.com/clone2, etc. The aim is to make example....

Accidentally deleted my phpbb_user_group table!!

Ok, so I accidentally typed DROP TABLE phpbb_user_group instead of phpbb_user_group_TEST and now I've deleted my user_group table and feel kind of silly. Anyway, I've looked up the mysql section in the install.php script and restored the structure of the table. I'm not so worried about the normal us...

trouble with a mysql script

I appologise for putting this in the support forum, I realise it would be better placed in the MOD writer's forum but I can't start topics there for some reason. I have quite a short question which is hopefully easily answered. My host runs mysql 4.1.11, and I am making a script that deletes the old...

Is this SQL query ok?

I have a big forum with lots of user registrations and customised deletions. Anyway, I'm trying to optimise my SQL space as efficiently as possible so I've added the following command to a cron task: $sql_inner = "DELETE g.* FROM phpbb_user_group AS u RIGHT JOIN phpbb_groups AS g ON (g.group_id = u....

Re: [HOW TO] Integrate your forum into the site.

Hello, thanks for posting this, I just have a question on how to make it work. I modified the common.css file as per your initial post, and then added <div id="new_header">New Header</div> <div id="left_bar">Left side Menus and stuff</div> <div id="right_bar">Right side Menus and stuff</div> to the ...
