Re: PM to inactive users?

I will revisit this whole situation (inactive users, inactive reasons, banning) for 3.0.7 - but not for 3.0.6. ;) If done it needs to be done correctly, and the time does not permit this for 3.0.6 currently. An option to permit or deny sending emails out to inactive users would be useful if anythin...

Re: Bump Feature Not Working

It's not a bug, it's a feature. You're only allowed to bump once in polite society (apparently). http://www.phpbb.com/bugs/phpbb3/49365 But if you want to make it work like it's supposed to  Find the following line in includes\functions_content.php if (!$auth->acl_get('f_bump', $forum_id) || $...

Re: [RC] Thanks for post by Палыч

Sorry I forgot to mention, I have commented out the information page. So when a user clicks the thanks button it goes straight to being added. If anyone else does that then you can use the redirect function instead of the meta-refresh and it'll make everything happen a lot smoother.

Re: [RC] Thanks for post by Палыч

Thank you Палыч for the fix. I have another one for you. Each time you add or remove a thanks it increases the number of views count for that topic. Is there a way to stop that from happening? Also may I suggest using the redirect function instead of the meta_refresh function. see /includes/function...

Re: [RC] Thanks for post by Палыч

It is easy to cause duplicate entry error when double click the thanks button. Mmmm... possibly add Onclick , css for button, display: none?? :D then there is no button to click the second time, unless you are very very quick  onclick="this.style.display='none'" SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] Dupl...

Re: [RC] Thanks for post by Палыч

and I believe that the board administrator itself should determine in what forums and what users permissions would be resolved. :? You are right, I agree. I wanted to know if there was a possibility of coding an option to pre-set everything during installation for those with very large boards. Than...

Re: [RC] Thanks for post by Палыч

Hello Палыч, May I ask whether it is possible to preset all the permissions using a php/sql script during installation so that everyone can use the thanks feature by default? I have installed your thanks mod successfully as an upgrade to the Geoffreak mod I had already installed. However I now need ...

Re: Memory Usage Debugging

If you are not getting memory allocation errors I would not worry about it. That's how it started though... I first discovered there was a problem when PHP complained it was running out of memory so I assigned another chunk from 32Mb upto 64Mb. So that's fixed the symptoms of the problem, but in th...

Memory Usage Debugging

Can someone point me in the direction of how to debug memory usage please. I have debugging turned on to show how much a page request has taken, and the explain link does a fine job in listing all the SQL queries but doesn't say how much memory was used per query. As a forum grows, what is typical t...

Re: [Beta] Force to Read Topics (at log on) Version 1.0.0

Great to see you taking on this MOD andy2295. And to those of you who are concerned about bugs, I have the former 0.1.0 version working in a live environment and it's fine once you have the thing set up and avoid doing anything off the main road with it. It's a super MOD and worth giving andy2295 ti...

Re: PM to inactive users?

FWIW I say its a bug, certainly for regular users. Inactive users should not exist to the regular eye, there is a differentiation between the newly registered and other classes of inactivity which is important. Edit: Personally you shouldn't be able to PM newly registered inactive accounts and acco...

Re: Pre-populated forum for testing

Test the efficiency of the code on large data forms. For example, backing up the database works fine on 10 posts and 5 users, but it becomes a problem and falls over when that number increases to a point where the php times out. So clearly an alternative solution is required. That's just one example...

Re: Pre-populated forum for testing

No, obviously I don't want anyone's working site database. I want to setup a test site that has thousands of posts and hundreds of forums to run mod tests on. I could spend some time making a script to generate the data, but thought I'd ask first if anyone else had done anything like it already. Tha...

Pre-populated forum for testing

Does anyone have a pre-populated forum for testing?
Lorumipsum if anything will do... but it needs forums, users and lots of posts already.
All available as a ready to go SQL import via phpmyadmin.

Any help will be most appreciated, thank you.
