Do you have gzip enabled? I assume you do, turn it off and tell me if you still have the problem.

There will be no 2.0.6 , 2.0.5 was a final, until the next major release. The fix will probably just be added to the 2.0.5 set when its done.

Well thats different, php is server side and unless you refresh your browser there is nothing to get that new data. However you will find that when you access the page the first time (click in favorites for example), you will get a pop-up if you have a PM.. this is what i'm trying to figure out lol,...

I code php, and one problem I've found is that I can't get the browser to get new data from a php file that pulls from mysql without a refresh, or the click of a link.
However phpbb does this no problem, in which file is the code that controls this?
