Which MOD as there's hundreds!

I currently need an advanced user management MOD; to delete all users who joined after a certain date and delete all their posts. (Yes, I got over-run with spammers and didn't notice!  ) Will also need an anti-spam MOD ;) Okay, I know there will be loads and I'm sorry I don't have time ...

Re: Tables with the specified prefix already exist <---HELP !

Okay. I did try this yesterday but thought the error I got when I did it was my fault, but it's not 'cos it just happened again.

"General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Unknown column 't.template_inherits_id' in 'field list' [1054]"

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Re: Tables with the specified prefix already exist <---HELP !

Thanks. It was a bit of a disaster, actually. I did download the config file but didn't bother checking it before I nuked it and it also turned out to be broked :( Hopefully this will sort it.

Re: Tables with the specified prefix already exist <---HELP !

Fine. How do I do a new install (seeing as I nuked the other one) of phpBB and point it to the existing database? This is, in fact, the question I asked earlier; at least I thought I had. Sorry if it was not clear enough. :(

Normally, yes, but I screwed-up. It happens :(
What error are you receiving?

Because you have to? If I try to configure it to use the existing DB, this is the error I get.

Re: Tables with the specified prefix already exist <---HELP !

Thought I'd re-use this old thread as I am also having this problem. The thing is, I want to use the same database for the forum; ie so all existing users/posts/etc. are intact. I did make a backup but it didn't work for some reason :(

Surely it can be done?

Thanks.

Re: Some smilies disappeared

Yeah, sorry. Meant to mention that I've already tried that. Will have another go though, I suppose. That said, I'm not sure which directory I should be re-uploading as they are missing no matter which theme template I use. WIll have a hunt around :)

Some smilies disappeared

Some smilies have disappeared from my forums. See here for examples: http://www.virginmediainfo.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=334 These are just the basic ones. Others are missing too. Not sure when it happened but I think they were there before I updated to the latest version. Might not be co...

Can you limit editing time?

Hi there! I'm on a forum where they don't allow you to edit your posts once you've submitted it. I find this annoying but can see the Amin's POV in that posts can be edited "afer the fact" which can be annoying. (I assume they changed a setting in the 'permissions' or something. Haven't us...

Re: Can't even INSTALL the thing!!

Thanks for all the help everyone. I had a sudden moment of clarity and fixed everything. Well, almost. Now it appears that the only thing I can't do it backup the database and store it locally. General Error Unable to write temporary file to storage folder No biggy as I can download it okay. Wouldn'...
