Re: Adsense in topic mod...

The best one I know of (and the one I use on my site) is Advertisement Managemeant Mod version 1.0.10 by EXreaction. It's top notch and totally solid. I haven't had any trouble with it. :)

Re: Avatar Resizer

Hmm, the first doesn't work, the second I haven't tried. I must have done something wrong with the first, I'll look into it.

Regardless, thanks for the links!

Avatar Resizer

I had a mod that did this way back in my first phpBB forum in like 2003 and it worked great. I've been looking for one for phpBB3 for quite a while (every few months I check, for the last few years). I can't afford to pay somebody to create a mod that does this, so I'm throwing out the request here....

Re: [RC1] Prime Multi-Quote - Select mulitple posts to quote

Not sure, but I STRONGLY doubt it. The code base is so different it would at least have to be significantly modified. Regardless, this is the wrong place to ask; you should post the question (and the mod) on an InvisionFree support site. They should be able to check it out and let you know what woul...

Re: [RC1] Prime Multi-Quote - Select mulitple posts to quote

I've got an odd problem. The mod appears to have been installed completely correctly, however the multi-quote only quotes the first post checked when I click "reply", and when I click the quote button on a checked post it only quotes the thread I clicked "quote" on, not any of th...

Re: Karma MOD

Odd question, but I've decided to un-install the Karma mod from one of my boards due to disuse and I'm not sure how to undo the SQL changes, partially because I don't know what changes were made. Is it just certain tables which can be dropped? Or is there more to it than that? Note that I love the K...

Re: Limited SSL Usage in phpBB3

Hey all, this has been resolved. I did it mostly with changes to .htaccess and one minor code snippet. Thanks again, I really appreciate it. :)

Re: Limited SSL Usage in phpBB3

And if I do that I set the board in general to use the http protocol instead of https?

Re: Limited SSL Usage in phpBB3

Yes, there is. My forum is part of a group of communities involved in an EXTREMELY competitive long-term politics simulator called CyberNations. By long-term I mean the current round has been going for over four years. There are frequent hacking attempts on forums in this community because people tr...

Re: Limited SSL Usage in phpBB3

Ok wait, so how would I do that? I appologize for my horrible ignorance but, I'm horribly ignorant. I run this site for friends for free because they can't afford to pay a real developer and I figure everything out as I go along. How would I do what you're talking about? I'm assuming that I would fi...

Limited SSL Usage in phpBB3

I use SSL with my copy of phpBB3, however I would like to limit its usage to login pages and the ACP. Does anyone know of a way to modify the existing code to accomplish this? It's unnecessary, for my purposes, to secure post content, I mainly want to protect login information from man in the middle...

Re: SSL and phpBB3

NM, this post should be deleted. The script I was referencing does not do what I want it to. :-/ How about this, does anybody know of a secure offsite photo server? Like photobucket but on the https protocol for sites like mine?

Re: SSL and phpBB3

So any page with offsite images is going to trigger the popup? There's no way to even on an individual level disable the popup in IE?

SSL and phpBB3

I've changed my forums over to SSL. I have the certificate installed, set the forums to work on https and port 443. All is well. However, any time you view ANY page you get a popup that says, "Do you want to display only the content that was delivered securely?" No matter which option you ...
