Re: Manually adding threads

You have to (well, you don't have to, but probably should) update the phpbb_forums table as well, and increment the forum_posts and forum_topics values by one. Then, I think there's also a last post ID as well in the forums table which you need to update as well. Yep, it was the phpbb_forums ;) Tha...

Re: Manually adding threads

Hello again =D I managed to "add" the thread manually (Needed 3 mysql queries: phpbb_posts, phpbb_posts_text, phpbb_topics) and almost everything works fine. The thread is there, by the user I want, etc etc, but it doesn't show on the main index, but writes "No threads". From which table does the ma...

Re: Manually adding threads

It's random. Any 10-char string will do. There's a function in bbcode.php to generate a string, but you don't have to use it. For all the BBCode questions you have, bbcode.php is the file to look at. Uid in this case is short for unique ID. Oh, thanks for clearing up :) I guess I'll use 10 chars fr...

Manually adding threads

Hello guys. First of all, I'm not sure this is the right place to ask that, but I'll and if I have to, I'll write it down @ other forum too. Anyway... I'm making a simple download system, which is "connected" to phpBB. Well, in my case this doesn't matter anyway, but I wanna make some threads after ...

Custom field in profile

Hey guys,

I want to add a custom field in profile, returning a mysql query. It shouldn't be updated manually, just a mysql query for every user id in his profile under the webpage etc. I know how to add it to the template, I'm not sure where should I do the shortcode for it.

Re: Getting logged user

Okey guys, I've managed this alone =)

Anyway if someone needs it too here's the code:

Code: Select all

	'AVATAR' => (($userdata['user_avatar_type'] == 1) ? "<img src=\"images/avatars/$userdata[user_avatar]\" />" : "<img src=\"$userdata[user_avatar]\" />"),

Re: Getting logged user

Since the code I need help is with this thread too I wanna ask you guys, how to get the avatar. Yes, I did: 'AVATAR' => $userdata['user_avatar'], but as you know there's user_avatar_type where 1 = webpage, 2 = uploaded. How to do it that way, so AVATAR should return the real picture, not http://imag...

Re: Getting logged user

That switch should work, but there is no {USERNAME} tag. You would have to define that yourself in page_header.php. Look for: 'L_USERNAME' => $lang['Username'], and after that put in 'USERNAME' => $userdata['username'], Well I didn't know how is the username tag anyway :) Thank you for your fast he...

Getting logged user

Hey dudes, I've been using phpBB for 4-5 days and until now everything is so cool. At the moment I'm integratind my website with the phpBB, so it will look super cool ( I guess :) ), but I already have a problem :D I "added" the website style in the forum using the overall_header.tpl , found some co...
