cant center body of forum

I wrapped my forum into a header and footer that I previously made. But for some reason it wont center. I tried putting margin:auto everywhere. In wrap, body, the main wrapper, everything, it wont center. anybody have any ideas ?

I changed the permission on mysql to verify for a password. I find it very hard to style the forum because there are multiple styles for one tag. I think i probably did miss that step because board disable is set to no already. how would i go about doing that now. why are styles confusing

Why is there 5 or 6 styles that style one tag ? when I look at a style such as the #wrap. In firebug it shows one style and thats this one #wrap { padding: 0px 20px; min-width:666px; } something like that. But when I go into dreamweaver and look for #wrap I find a style for #wrap in like 5 or 6 diff...

OK, i dont think its SMARTY but i did find out where they declare the varibles. At data_globals.php . but its not saving my declaring varibles. it keeps reseting the code back to the orignal. which makes me believe i cant hardcode code in the data_globals.php. Is there another way to implement varib...
