Spam to address I use for this forum...

I am guessing this is not an official email. Anybody else get something like this? =================================================================== From: phpBB Support <phpbbspprt840@gmail.com> Subject: phpBB Support Date: February 22, 2011 8:57:27 AM PST To: Undisclosed-Recipients:; Reply-To: ph...

Re: Login gives captcha on first attempt

I was referring to the changes described in: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=2094062#p12929303 According to the user log entries it generates, users accounts are not being captcha-triggered by any IP addresses other then their own, and they all swear to me that they have made no ...

Re: Login gives captcha on first attempt

With all due respect… if the user log mod above is reliable, your explanation does not coincide with what is displayed in my user logs. The IPs listed with the log entries actually belong to the user, and after speaking with the user, I am confident he made no unsuccessful login attempts since his l...

Re: Login gives captcha on first attempt

I too still think there is a problem in 3.0.8. Never had complaints with 3.0.2. And after installing the user log mod above, I still see that folks are hitting the Captcha even though there are no attempts on their accounts from IP addresses other than their own. Some folks are also complaining abou...

Cool. Can you share with us how you did this?

Re: Login gives captcha on first attempt

It's certainly not a bug. I am not sure I agree. I logged in to *this* board yesterday and saw this same behavior here. It has been at least a week or two since I had been here. Hard to believe someone is trying to log into this board with my user ID. Since upgrading to 308 from 302 I have had a co...

Users Can't Delete Own Posts

Hi… Since upgrading to 3.0.8 users are not able to delete their own posts; there simply is no interface item shown. Some Info: Registered users' group is assigned standard role, and all forums' permissions for this group allows editing and deleting their own posts (yes). Main post settings has 'limi...

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

Looks very nice. Too bad the first post isn't updated with the new version link, and the on on the second page is broken too. Some instructions for prosilver, heck even for subsilver wouldn't hurt. Yeah... while I don't recall an "official" announcement, I think this mod is no longer under developm...

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

Yes... it is Safari. But it also is Leopard's Mail.app (if you have your prefs set for it to be the default RSS client).

It not only logs you out when setting up the feed, but seems to clear the cookie holding your auto-login info when the feed is updated. Strange.

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

Hmmm... I think this has already gone "live" hence the RC1. What I am not sure of is if it is still under development as I have not seen a post by the developer in quite some time.

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

I am seeing some additional unexpected behavior after adding this mod, having to do with auto login. It seems when messages from the feed come in, it is emptying the value of the cookie storing the auto login value. I also notice that if I am logged in and set up a feed; it logs me out. Any ideas of...

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

I doubt it. The install file doesn't look for anything in its own directory, only other files relative to its location. So as long as it is in root /install it should be fine. There is no real order that is needed so long as the new and edited files are up on your server before you run the install. ...

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

You don't say what the result was from running your install, but my experience has been if it doesn't work, you didn't edit/copy all the files correctly.

And yes it needs to be in the "install" directory. If you don't have one you should create one.

Hope you have a backup.

Re: [RC1] Full Syndication Suite 1.0.RC1 (RSS/ATOM)

Have you cleared your browser cache ? This is what I see And that looks OK to me, and when I subscribe to it it shows up OK in my reader. Dowelld. Removing the shadowed topic from the last forum has resulted in a correct topics feed. I can put one back if you really want to take a look... lemmeno. ...
