Re: Renumbering a forum

Thanks guys.
I guess I'll just go through every table and check for instances of forum_id as no doubt there are a few more somewhere.

I'm comfortable writing the queries, just wanted to try and save myself a bit of work :D

Re: Changing a member's userid and deleting bots

I want to change some of the member userids You want to change their username or their user_id? You really shouldn't be messing around with the user_id field in the database. Yes, I want to change the user_id, not the username. If all relevant fields in every table are updated then I can't see why ...

Changing a member's userid and deleting bots

I want to change some of the member userids.
Is this feasible?

Is it just a matter of updating all the tables which reference the user_id field?

Additionally, I would like to delete all of the bot users.
Can I just run an sql query to delete user_type 2 (except for userid 1/Anonymous)?

Renumbering a forum

If I want to renumber a forum, is it a case of changing the forum_id in the following tables: _acl_groups _acl_users _drafts _forums _forums_track _forums_watch _moderator_cache _posts _sessions _topics _topics_track Then running a query on the _posts table to update any post_text with URL links? Or...

Re: Editing the style to separate sticky topics from normal

I'm guessing this isn't an easy change then?

Editing the style to separate sticky topics from normal ones

I want to separate the sticky topics from normal topics by making the bottom border on the last sticky topic slightly wider. See the screenshot here for an example of what I want to achieve: http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/4612/sticky.th.png Uploaded with ImageShack.us I had a quick look at the c...

Re: Permissions problem

OK, thanks for the confirmation.

It's a shame that this setting results in that change to "The team" listing as members are now no longer able to see which moderator is responsible for which forum.

Re: Permissions problem

I'm back... :? So I finally got the permissions sorted and the moderators/super moderators were appearing in The Team listing correctly. So super moderators were showing as "all forums" and moderators had a drop down next to their name with the relevant forums in. However, none of the moderators wer...

Re: How do I change the default color palette codes?

Thanks, I knew it was in a .js file but wasn't sure which one.

Much appreciated.

How do I change the default color palette codes?

I'd like to change a few of the colours in the "Font colour" pop up palette when composing a post, to make it more useful for my site.

Is this possible and if so, which file do I need to edit?

TIA

Re: Permissions problem

Gotcha! So I would need as many groups as I have combinations of forum moderating permissions. I know permissions shouldn't really be done at user level but I think in this instance it might be easier as I won't need any additional groups, just the basic moderator group. Thanks for your perseverance...

Re: Permissions problem

Well I'm confused again now.

It's the groups and the group permissions that are the problem :?:

Never mind, I'll try and figure it out.

Re: Permissions problem

Are you trying to make it so everyone has all Forum moderation permissions for every forum, EXCEPT Edit and Delete, but that some people in that group have Edit and Delete permissions for forum A and other, different, people in the group have Edit and Delete permissions for forum B? More or less, Y...
