It's a shame that this setting results in that change to "The team" listing as members are now no longer able to see which moderator is responsible for which forum.

Gotcha! So I would need as many groups as I have combinations of forum moderating permissions. I know permissions shouldn't really be done at user level but I think in this instance it might be easier as I won't need any additional groups, just the basic moderator group.
