Re: Huge performance degradation in comparsion to phpBB 3.0

Yes, it's clear and fully understandable. I only don't understand huge difference with disabled few features, think that footprint is caused by vendors code, not native phpBB.

Re: Huge performance degradation in comparsion to phpBB 3.0

Ok, thanks for clarification, now it's clear... And I must consider this issue - make 3.0.x compatible with PHP 7 (there is available patch on internet for that) or maybe migrate to other, lighter software such MyBB (it was slower, but in past). I understand performance decrease after big changes in...

Huge performance degradation in comparsion to phpBB 3.0

Hello, I have old, but still alive board on phpBB 3.0.x. Recently, I made test conversion to 3.1 and then to 3.2 to avoid issues with new PHP version (I plan to change 5.6 to 7.0/7.1). Everything is ok except performance. Small examples, I know, it isn't performance test, but should show difference:...

Re: Problem with merge topics

It isn't PHP limits issue. Board runs on my VPS with big limits.

EDIT:
Sorry, it was max_input_vars limit ;)

Problem with merge topics

Hello,
I clean my forum and want merge some threads.
Few of them are big (more than 1500 replies), I'ld like to merge them.

The problem is that I can not do this... use MCP, select threads, select to merge, submit and... nothing...
Is there something like pages-limit or posts per topic limit?

Re: Install on other SQL base than MySQL : mariaDB, SQLite,

phpBB supports MariaDB great (it's MySQL compatible). I've used this for about six month without any problems.

Re: Why there is no search without index in phpBB?

I use VPS and I havn't "unlimited" memory.
DB is about ~60-70% usage of RAM.
When I decrease buffor for innodb, DB is much slower... When I removed native index everything run fast and innodb buffer can be smaller, but... no search :)

Re: Integrated portal - problem with $phpbb_root_path

Because I have a lot of subdomains or other domains in the same user, new structure is better for multi-user. Yes, I can revert to old structure, but first, I looking for something to fix this problem. I fixed links to profiles in comments by: define('PROFILE_URL', "http://{$config['server_name']}me...
