Re: [BETA] Dicemod

Woo! I'm glad to see this is still around! Thanks for picking up my slack! Let me know if you want me to do anything or if you've got it from here! If you don't have one already, I can provide a test board?

Re: Anti Double Post

If you install the "Mark Editted Posts as Unread" mod, it will bring the posts up to the top of the list (and I think send out notification emails, though I may not be right on that). Is that the functionality you are talking about?

Re: Anti Double Post

There's no actual module. It's integrated in with the forum management pages. You can set everything from there.

Re: Anti Double Post

I'd recommend installing this author's "Mark Editted Posts as Unread" mod along with this. They work very well together, preventing users from increasing their post counts from "bumping" topics or posting things that should be put in edits, but still placing posts up front that need to be. I wrote a...

Re: Anti Double Post

It shouldn't matter, but the mod won't work until you run the MySQL. I'd recommend running the MySQL file first, just to be safe :P Good luck!

Re: Anti Double Post

Personally, I've never been a big fan of phpmyadmin (I believe that's what you are using), but everywhere under the sun uses it. I've written an install file for you. Run it once, then delete it (just navigate to it like the other install file). Let me know if it works!

Re: Anti Double Post

When you installed the mod, did you install the SQL as well? It was not included in the install.php file, so you would have had to run it yourself.

I've installed this on the latest version of phpbb, so I know it works.

Re: Anti Double Post

Try refreshing the cache. See if that clears the error.

Re: ACP custom look

I don't think these exist, but you could always try and copy the style sheet from the theme to the theme folder for the ACP. That could take care of a lot of the differences in look. But to make it look completely the same, you'd have to go through and change each page.

Re: Restrict user IF a custom profile field..

I believe there is a modification that allows a user to add themselves to a group. If you gave the regular registered user no rights and then gave a group called "Real Registered Users" all the rights of a normal registered user, you could prevent the spam bots from posting. Similar topic Modificati...

Re: Sorta a mod

There us a template.php page mod that will allow you to make pages that require the same login as the forums. This can be used to find the users information through the $user object. Here's the link to the mod:

Re: My first request! Any help would be appreciated!

Haha once you do one, you'll see it isn't that bad. Just open the file in notepad, find the line in the find section, then do the next step (usually a replace, add after, or add before). Let me know if there is anything I can help you with!

Re: My first request! Any help would be appreciated!

If you know some PHP, you can find the genders modification, which you could just rename (and change the images) to be for the XBox/PS3. If you don't know how to do that, I can, but you'll have to give me the images (I can't make them....).

Re: My first request! Any help would be appreciated!

I think you can take care of this with the custom profile fields. I'm also pretty sure you can have it put next to in the viewtopic.php by selecting an option. Let me know if that doesn't work for you!
