If the forum was installed by a third party script and not yourself, then it might be a problem. But your error is about googleplus A service clearly related to the old 3.1.9 install. Go into your database, search for that expression and delete it. Clear your cache as well. Remember to take a backup...

This error was also generated a few times for me, due to unsupported php version, even if the mysql extension was perfectly installed. Just Fyi

At some point atm dec 2017. phpBB 3.1 will reach it's end of life and you will have to do all of these changes anyway. This will go on and on, new updates, more work ugrading your alterations, KISS

You could upgrade to another more powerfull product from your host or change host. Even go from shared hosting to a vps.

No I was talking about your phpBB version of your old sql backup. Import it into your db and then you can see which version your old phpbb sql file was backed up from.

Mariadb works fine.

Looks like it. But the only way to make sure what version the database is. Is to import it and look in the phpbb_config table.

Yes I did. The board have been running with ssl for some years on phpBB 3.0.X,. I havnt changed the server/cookie settings after the upgrade to 3.1

I would ask the developers of the extension your using. They will be able to tell you how and if this feature can be disabled.

Yes you need to know which version you ran back then. This can be done by importing the database and looking in the phpbb_config table via a gui mysql tool like phpmyadmin or a like. Then download the right files from phpBB 3.0.X you can find them here. https://sourceforge.net/projects/phpbb/files/p...

You need the same version phpBB files as the old database to use it. When everything is running well on the old forum, then you can update.
