Re: Will ReCaptcha be updated in 3.1 from V1 to V2 at any point

Like WelshPaul said, this is included in 3.2 by default. And with 3.1 being at an End of Maintenance state, we won't add any new features. We could help you upgrade to 3.2, if you want. :) Additionally though, there is a 3.1 extension that adds reCAPTCHA 2.0 to your board . Just be aware though that...

Re: HELP TO CONFIGURE FRESH PHPBB

Well, the user groups Administrators and Global Moderators are already there by default. So is the Registered Users group and the Newly Registered Users group. You can apply all sorts of Permissions to these groups. That only leaves the Power Users group. You can of course create the group in your A...

Re: HELP TO CONFIGURE FRESH PHPBB

Hi! I'm glad to hear you've got your translated version of phpBB set up. :)

What exactly would you like to know about setting up groups? Do the groups get different permissions?

Re: Error 500 when loading Ban IPs

huh?? I'm not sure if this is addressed to me or not, but bumping? is it bumping or assumption of bumping when someone is adding additional information. We usually don't mind it if you post one or two additional posts that adds new information to the topic. However, at the first page of this topic ...

Re: Ultimate points

After installing Ultimate points and enabling it in Custom tab, I get the error "Ultimate Points is currently disabled" in red. Any ideas how I can fix this? Hi, welcome! You'd be better off posting this where you downloaded the extension as opposed to the Extension Requests topic. The extension au...

Re: a question

Hi! This isn't really something that fits our Ideas section, even though I like a bit of Christmas decoration. :) Our Ideas section is more meant for features that could go into phpBB in the future, and we only include prosilver. You could post a topic in the Styles Support & Discussion forums to se...

Re: .Mo and .Po based language System

Everyone, please stay on-topic here. This is not the place to talk about "how the internet works", but rather to discuss this idea itself. And even though I'm sure that's not how it was meant, the "Welcome to the internet" comment comes across as being degrading and impolite, which has no place here...

Re: Problem with registering on my forum!

Nope, that's not what I meant. You can't change anything in phpBB to solve this. This is a restriction that your host has put on your account on a server level. So you'll need to get in touch with them to get them to be less strict on the openbase_dir restrictions. Trust me, if you tell them that, t...

Re: Problem with registering on my forum!

Hi, welcome to phpBB.com! :)

This is a restriction that your host has put up on the openbase_dir function for certain directories. They're the only ones that can solve it for you. So show them the errors and ask them to ease up those restrictions a bit.

Re: Content of post_text field in database

I don't know why you are being so defensive about not revealing details. Protecting you IPRs? So much for Open Source - you're worse than Microsoft at hiding information. As Joshy pointed out, that's ridiculous. Just because something you asked for isn't readily available, doesn't mean people are i...

Re: Our PHPBB3 site was hacked by bot and Gonzo

Hi! I'm sorry to hear about that. We have a dedicated Incident Tracker for these incidents where our team can see if there's anything we can do to help you recover your board, see these instructions below. If your board has been hacked, please do the following before making any modifications to your...

Re: Possible user hack

How about this problem ? Hi! I'm not sure what you mean with that question. If people have hacked boards, they will be helped through the Incident Tracker, per the responses above from Mick and Marc. Most usually, phpBB is not the point of entrance for these hacks, but rather other software that la...

Hi there! The [RC] Site Logo extension has the option to remove the site name from your board header. :)
