Re: CSRF Protection

Hi, welcome to the phpBB community! Yes, we do protect against CSRF. It doesn't need to be enabled manually, that would be very bad security practice. To see what exactly the phpBB code base does against CSRF, you might want to read this blog post . It's a bit older, but the basics are still the sam...

And we are still waiting for "Winterwonderland" in most parts of Europe, so the banner gives us some hope :)
I'm certainly not, I'm waiting for the summer to return. :D

Re: Include reply in Topic reply notification email

Just playing some devil's advocate here, but as a community we should be cautious of using this line of thinking as a reason to vote no on suggestions. Without understanding why it should be an extension and not part of the core, we risk limiting innovation by saying that everything should just be ...

I think this discussion isn't really going anywhere, I'll close the topic for now. ;)

You'd be better off asking that over here. The extension maintainer will then automatically be notified of your question. :)

Re: 3.0.11 Conversion Fail. I am against the wall.

Congratulations indeed! :)

In the future, could you try to not post as many posts in row in a topic? That could be seen as bumping and makes it harder to read the topic. Try editing your previous post unless you've got really important new information. Thanks!

Re: Ageism

I don't believe in ageism at all. It all depends on your interests and capabilities, not your age. Skills hardly fade. The phpBB community is a fine example of younger and older people working together very well, all with very good technological capabilities. I became a member of the phpBB team in 2...

Re: List of Founders

You can run a SQL query on the database selecting all users with the user_type = 3 (founder). :)

Code: Select all

SELECT username, user_id FROM phpbb_users WHERE user_type = 3;

Re: phpBB.com Website Feedback

I notice when viewing who is online that the bots are still accessing the 3.0 fora. As 3.0 has been "dead" for the last 12 months is it not time that the bots were denied access to these fora? - after all there is not going to be anything new posted in them. I don't personally see the advantage to ...

Re: Who is online

If you did it correctly, it should only be visible to people with ACP access.
You can test it with a regular test account, if you wish. :)

Re: how do it this?

They can be all different kinds of sizes, most commonly 16x16px or 32x32px.
Such a generator can turn your PNG icon (easy to create) into a .ico file which the browsers universally recognize and use.

Re: Instead of "No route found" a page (without styling) is shown

Is this only happening when you've still got the install folder or will this happen when the board is active as well? Additionally, does this happen for every "No route found" page or only when changing the capitalization of the file name? I'm asking as we've frequently seen this happening when you'...

Re: how do it this?

Yes, just to the root of your site (where config.php is as well).

Have the file be named favicon.ico (and have it generated as .ico file as thecoalman said), then most if not all browsers will pick it up. :)
