Re: Three features you would like to see in 3.3.

If I remember correctly, a few years ago the phpBB site was hacked, what was the reason? Lack of mod_security from what I read on the hacker's blog. It's quite a bit more complex than that. ;) However, let's all go back to the topic this was originally about. This is about potential 3.3 featu...

Re: [3.2][DEV] Ticket Tracker

This actually looks quite a lot like VicBug, the bug tracker that we used on phpBB.com until 2010 or so.

I've always liked its design and the features look very good on this as well. Nice job! :)

Re: Spammers everywhere, posting women without underwear

Also, are you sure they're all humans? Some posts can seem human but bots can become very sophisticated. What we usually recommend if you only target a specific audience is to create a Q&A question that you're sure is very easy for your audience, but not for people that just want to spam. The ultima...

Re: [Split] How to translate NEW TOPIC Button?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Have you uploaded an updated version of the language pack now? And is the problem still there?

Re: [Split] How to translate NEW TOPIC Button?

Hi! Could you post a link both to your board and to where you downloaded the language pack from?

It sounds like you downloaded a language pack for the wrong version of phpBB, which leaves some newer strings untranslated. ;)

Re: ex moderator

Hi! As this is more of a support question, I've moved it to the support forums where you're more likely to get the proper help. :) Try running a permission mask of the moderator permissions (under the Permission tab in your ACP) on this user's username. Permissions in phpBB can be a bit tricky and c...

Re: [3.1][3.2][RC] Obscure Registration Code (SPAM stopper)

I think the key here is that bots are not programmed for these types of codes yet. Anything a human can reasonably solve will eventually be figured out by bots as well. No CAPTCHA or anti-spam solution is forever. If it was, it would get to the point of it being too difficult for humans. For now, th...

Re: "Mark all read" in bottom

That's because the "Unread posts" page doesn't use the viewforum_body.html template, that's only used inside actual forums. :) As unread posts is a variant of search.php it makes use of the search_results.html template file and there the Mark posts read code is only available at the top pagination s...
