Re: RedBar³

Hi Red, RedBar3 is on my 'live-host'. Today I've duplicated my site to my test-host. on my test host everything is working fine and I have the blue background. On my live host there is a white background. Files and database are identical on both hosts. Can you help me explain and fix this problem? ...

Re: Guests can *see* topics, but not read them?

There's a bit of code in the Knowledge base, article 'Add a New Custom Page to phpBB' which brings up the login request but someone else would have to tell you where to put it to do what you want.

Re: Add a New Custom Page to phpBB

Thanks, that solved it.
notepad++ seems to put a 4 space tab at the beginning of every line, deleting that on the first line has done the trick.

Re: question

I don't know about your first question, but your second I just did for my forum at http://www.merg.org.uk/forum/. This text is in language/en/common.php around line 367. Its the text following the label 'NO_FORUMS' just change it to what you want. Then 'refresh styles' from the ACP.

Add a New Custom Page to phpBB

I have tried this tutorial from your Knowledge Base "Add a New Custom Page to phpBB" It works very nicely except that it puts up this error message above the main title block [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3562: Cannot modify header information - headers already se...

Re: Missing pages in UCP and ACP

I was hoping to avoid that but, Ok, bit the bullet and done it.
It has solved the problem but given no clue as to what was actually wrong (the database update reported that all was OK and it didn't have to do anything)
Thanks

Re: Missing pages in UCP and ACP

The board is hosted with one&one, I can't find any php error log on the user admin pages, unless someone knows where to look. I had assumed that the htaccess files were important in some way since it is always noted not to delete it when clearing the cache. However I tried your suggestion and remove...

Re: RedBar³

I think the problems I had were mine rather than inherent in the mod. I'm new to this and it is the first mod I've used. The glitches were fixed with a bit of help from this list and were caused by my mistakes.
So don't be put off, my forum members are very pleased with the result.
