For the email question, yes it is possible, but let's think about this for a second here???? This mod is an ADDRESS BOOK. You are supposed to put in your name, ADDRESS, Email and other important personal info. This mod was designed for a specific reason and securing this information from others is n...

For anyone that wants to add birthday as a required field on registration, I have figured out how to do it and it seems to work fine. I am no PHP expert, however and some of the code may be able to be shortened by one of the gurus around here. Feel free to modify this and make it work to your needs....

First off, he is probably using a masking software and a proxy server to mask his real IP, so you almost assuredly will never be able to IP ban them. If you block one proxy, he/she will just find another proxy server to use. I would bet you have a problem with the mysql/site access passwords or acce...

Thanks DianaRae. I will gladly help you with your mod. What your trying to do is not much different than the address book here. Lets leave this thread for the address book and any problems that people find with it. Also DianaRae has alerted me I forgot to remove a birthday field from the alternate f...

Ok, I have fixed a couple more minor bugs, and re-uploaded the zip.

If you have previously downloaded this all you need to do is replace the address_book.php and the address_book_body.tpl with the ones in the zip.

Please let me know if you find anything additional and I will have a look at it.

Yes, its called the yellow card mod. You give users warnings by pressing a yellow button. The number of warnings is displayed on the users posts so everyone can see. you can specify the nunber of warnings at which point the user is banned. The default is 10 warnings. I have a news fader mod in the Beta section. It is fairly easy to install with only minor modifications, and is controllable via an admin controllable mod. You can use any html in the news fader, so you can put links, bold, use colors, and it supports different themes. You also can turn it off in th...

Question, The Doc by DanielT does not address beta Testing. It only covers the mod AFTER initial Release. What is the Standard for beta mod numbering? and if I have a release that I think is stable and no bugs should the version number be 1.00 RC-1 or 0.9.0. which going from 0.9.0 to 1.0.0 by your d...

FYI, I am working on this for a friend

I am creating and address book mod for a friends Family oriented web Site. I have the Address book part done, and working. It verifies you are a member of a group that is defined in the config table. It pulls the information from the user table. The only thing left to do is to add the code to allow ...

I too am looking for a mod like this. Sorry, but if you have a big forum and lots of users, you don't have time to pm users for a simple topic move. We would like our moderators to do this too, but I am not gonna get on thier case if they don't, they do so much for us and put up with so much abuse f...
