Re: Blank Page Template

... Both take the same amount of work to setup, just a few lines at the top of the PHP file and a template file if you need one. I'd prefer to not use the templates and just drop all of my code php, markup, etc, right into the php page. How do I set it up to not use the template? I tried out the in...

This Mod is an old one, but I nevertheless installed it. It seems to work fine if the member is attempting to reply to his own message -- for example, the interval is set to 10 minutes, User_A posts at 1:15, then attempts to post at 1:20 but is stopped. However, it does not seem to work if, for exam...

You could also just put this in a link roark .. eg http://www.yourwebsite.com/forums/search.php?mode=results&search_keywords=foo Yikes..! I didn't realize that would work. Ya know, I had tried that a few times but never got the search to work properly ... So a direct link to a search is possible (a...

I dunno if this helps or not, but I've been wanting to do the same thing (direct link to searches) and finally sat down and played with it for a few minutes. I seemed to be able to rough something out that works for a few specific purposes. <form id="ForumSearch" action="http://www.yourwebsite.com/f...

Disallow usernames, special characters, and wildcards

I'm wondering if anyone is having difficulty with the "disallow usernames" administrative area, specifically dealing with special characters. I have a lot of things in my list and have of them are not working. For example, users successfully registering under "#username" while in my disallow list I ...

Thanks for the fix..! It works like 99%, but there's still a little quirky stuff going on that I assume is related. It's reproduceable as well. To see what I mean, try the following: 1) Create a new poll with 4 options. Save. 2) Viewtopic looks great. 3) Edit post/poll. Remove 1st and 3rd options. S...

Thanks for everyone's help..! After patching with the code discussed in the thread linked above, it's still a little quirky, but works 99%, so that's good enough. Thanks again!

Okay, this appears to partially work .... It does get the poll data to populate the form, however once the Submit button is clicked, things get funky. An example (using your alteration): 1) Create a poll with 5 options. 2) View topic, looks fine. 3) Load edit post page, post and poll populates form,...

I more or less created an "official" request with the support template yesterday and it already got a response from a helpful user, which you can check out here. I'm going to give his fix suggestion a try today.

I am having the exact same difficulty as well with 2.06d. I upgraded from 2.03, where everything was working fine. I have a couple simple mods installed as well, such as a forum stats page, but nothing that would affect posts/polls/editing. If I go back in and try to add a poll to the thread again, ...

Using upgrade script entirely necessary?

Is it possible to upgrade the board from an older version (.03, .04) without running the upgrade script itself? I have a large board with a lot of data and handful of mods. I've done some testing on another server and found that during upgrade tests I'd receive a "no changes to database needed/made"...

I was not able to get this working. I've attempted adding it on several of my pages, some of which are outside of the phpbb forum directory but use phpbb authentication and sessions. Unfortunately though, none of my additions seem to work -- even for pages inside the phpbb forums directory. Is there...
