Re: .htaccess preventing the following UA

Hello, just a quick update in case someone else has the same issue. Thanks for all the replies above it's appreciated. I basically used the following in the .htaccess file. This has halted the attack of the excessive amount of guests that were draining my bandwidth. It also looks like it hasn't bloc...

Re: .htaccess preventing the following UA

What does "targeted" mean? What does "UA" mean? Apologies, on my "who is online" page there is in excess of 500 guests who have the same look (as pasted in the quote above), I suspect them to be some sort of bot as they're only viewing the index page of the forum. They appear to be consistently on ...

Re: jQuery UI Notify Widget

Has anyone been successful in getting this to work on phpbb3? Be a really great alternate to the meta redirection pages. http://www.erichynds.com/examples/jquery-notify/

No; this is where I'm a little hesitant databases incase of data loss; is there any risk to loosing anything when optimizing them in phpmyadmin?

Re: Database Question

In phpmyadmin at the first page of your database you can look at the overhead in your tables. I've had a look at the overhead. In total 2.4MBs of overhead. 1.4MB of that is in the sessions table. I'm assuming this is pretty much normal? Is there anything else I should be looking at? Thanks for any ...

Database Question

I have had phpbb installed on my site for just about 5 years now. Since installation to now I've not optimized the database or touched it apart from adding the odd table here and there in it. Recently my site has come almost to a grinding halt. Page loads are slow, almost feels like the server is st...

Inbox Un-Read Messages

Is there a way to modify the system so that where on the forum index (or anywhere on the site) it shows how many unread messages in the inbox? It does do this already, however it resets that value as soon as you view the inbox in the UCP (regardless if you read a new message or not). Hope that makes...

Last Visit Line Break

Just wondered, if there is such a mod like pictured in the image below available for phpbb? I've hit the search function with no success. Just think it would be a useful navigation point when reading threads.

NSFW Tag Mod

I know that topic icons can be used, but the problem being if the 2nd or 3rd ... reply to a post contains such content it won't flag it on the view forum list. Is there a solution to this, really just looking for a simple "tick" box on the submit post which will add a NSFW icon... I have searched an...

One click post approve

Is there anything out there?

When a post needs approval you have to click through three different screens to approve it (MCP -> Approve -> Acknowledgement). Is there a way to make the "?" approve icon the function to approve it instantly avoiding the MCP screen?

Re: [RC-5] RSS Input

I seem to have the same issue as davaguco regarding the bot showing up as "Guest". Same symptoms...other than that the mod, after some mySQL forcing, works very well. I will post what mods and environment I am running soon. What was the mySQL solution? Same issue here. :( //Edit After looking at th...
