I still need to know how to change the user_id that the page will pick up as the founder. You can modify a line in functions_profile.php: $res = USER; if ( ($userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN) && ($userdata['user_id'] == 2) ) { $res = ADMIN_FOUNDER; The number ("2" in this case) is the user number of...

Set the permissions for that forum to private, and then add a group that has permission to view the forum (or just change the permissions on an existing group).

Does 4.3.5 address the date function in a different way? I was getting those errors too, but now i have half the posts on the board showing up as calendar events on December 31 1969.

My problem is more than likely with the GD function. My host made a change to their servers about a week ago and my photo album stopped working. I thought it was a problem with my database, but after eliminating all possibilities there it's down to the host. Thanx for the helpful suggestions... now,...

There's nothing else that needs to be edited or changed? When I open signature.php all I get is a red x.

Re: Today at ##, Yesterday at ##

Also my current date display doesn't change even though i change the format in the Admin settings. Cheers Jeremy Just thought of something else you should check on this one... have you also changed the date format in your own user profile and not just the board settings? That could be where your is...

IMHO this Today/Yesterday mod is more friendly. I've used both and the one from phpBB hacks had conflicts with Profile Control Panel 2.00 (gave bad results for system time) and caused a couple other errors. Not that it wouldn't work fine on a unmodded installation, but I just thought I'd throw anoth...

I would think that you would want your users to participate in as many areas of the forum as possible, so you'd only have to block things like NSFW content, etc. I guess it depends on your userbase (mine is small so I prefer to administer viewing rights via groups), but if you don't want to allow th...

If there's something they don't want to see you could always make that forum private and allow your users to "opt-in" through an open group that has the rights to view and post in that forum.

If you're on a unix server you can use a .htaccess file with the following line in it:

Redirect /olddirectory/oldfile.html http://yoursite.com/newdirectory/newfile.html

Are you missing the profile->your profile->contact menu in the user profile control panel? The fields can't be edited from the "public" tab as the mod is now.

Is there a way to quickly disable the moderator's ability to see hidden administrators on the memberlist? Sometimes I don't have time to chat with them and just need to go in and get some things done, but if they can see that I'm there they think I'm ignoring or mad at them if I don't reply. Just cu...

Try this eviluncledave... http://rpgnet.clanmckeen.com/demo/viewtopic.php?t=584 Ptirhiik is already aware of it and well, already fixed it, too :) I'm a little slow getting back, but the redirect (and the fix) is much appreciated. I love this and the calendar mod... they've improved the functionali...
